well we just had Christmas eve dinner with Nick and Hope. Miranda and her DH are has his family tonight. We had drinks played the WII and dinner. Dinner took longer because my oven is not working. Now that will be a challenge tomorrow. 16-20 people, a large ham and an oven that doesn't work.

Thankfully we kept my dad's oven in the cellar as it is extra large for Miranda to make cakes and the one day a year I use it as my "extra" oven - Christmas. Now I have to figure out how I will make my ham, green bean casserole and everything else and have it all come out warm at the same time.

Connie I know I haven't given you miles yet for Nov and Dec. Not much to report in Dec. but I do have some for Nov. I'll work on it this weekend. - Need to get through the holiday.

Our long walk will be this weekend, I hope to do 8 miles, then 6 next weekend and then the 1/2. 2 weeks from tomorrow we leave for WDW!!

Well it's almost 10 here so I'll sign off.

take care, have a wonderful day tomorrow

Well they won’t be delivered in time for Christmas but this is what they will look like.

Hopefully – this weekend, after the Holiday, Mark and I will go to the Post Office and mail them out. I’m thinking of wearing mine on my WISH hat or visor during the race then on my shirt or jacket the rest of the weekend. So if you see me at the Expo or walking around the park or your fellow teammates, make sure you say HI, your name will be evident.

I’ll be checking in now and then and will post for sure when they are in the mail but I do have all the family over on Christmas day so by Friday I’ll be ready to head out and be with Mark – just the 2 of us and a romantic trip to the Post Office. Between now and then we’ll be busy.

Merry Christmas to all,

denise & Mark

There is no Panda in there?

Ok slinking off now.

Merry Christmas!!

Connie (or somebody) - Could you please post or IM me the link for the spreadsheet again? I cannot find it for the life of me. I had it saved on my old PC, but when we switched over to this one I lost it. Thanks!!

Denise - I LOVE THE PINS! That is super nice of you guys to do this for us!! I will also proudly wear mine in the parks and expo! :woohoo:

Well...we are up and I'm getting ready to go to the office and work. Luckily, it's a short day today and I'll be out in under 6 hours. I hope everyone gets everything they asked for (for Christmas and the coming New Year)! I got my monkey feet PJs that I asked for from Jordan and I'm happy as can be :goodvibes

Panda -mmmmmmmmmm seems like I did email you and Connie a mock-up of the pin and there was no Panda on it back then. You'll have your OWN panda logo to spread around soon as the man gets to it. One step at at time - just like walking  All good things come to those who wait. I on the other hand am not too good at waiting. :confused3 - Maybe you;ll have everything you want under the tree today. :rolleyes1

Well I have to get dinner going and figure out how I'm going to make everything in one oven when I was counting on 2

Merry Christmas to all.

Monkey feet Jammies sound Kewl.

OK folks help me out, whilst shopping last week I saw several girls young ladies, not kids wearing what looked like jammie bottoms out shopping. Is this a style I missed in a recent copy of Vogue??? On gal even had on fuzzy flip flops.

Wind is staring up and I think we are in for a little weather today. Might get out and shop a bit with our gift cards.

Will be eating leftover for the next week plus , but they are good.

Well enjoy the day, and to our friends from the Great White North, Happy Boxing Day.

Denise Darlin, your friendship is worth more that all the goodies that can go under a tree. I read your posts about your wonderful family and have become very fond of all of you. I have a special hug for little Hope and you of course will be smothered with hugs from the whole team. You have become a sister to us.

Happy Panda:hippie:

Thanks Dave!

Miranda and I braved the cold and went for 5 miles. I was exhausted from yesterday but she made me do it. There was no wind so it really wasn't that bad. But I was so tired after the walk, I was pretty much toast the rest of the day. The stress of yesterday killed me. Took a 2 hr nap and poof, I'm much better now. I'm thankful that my boss closed the office for 4 days for Christmas and 4 days for New Years. I guess he figures most of us wouldn't be much good today anyway!

Next week at work is one of the busiest of the year so the 3 days will be hell but then I get to relax next weekend and start my pre- packing for the 1/2. We leave Thursday the 8th in case we run into any weather related delays.

Take care all. Will tally up my miles and PM Connie tomorrow.

Yes it is a style here too. Very comfy I'm sure but not overly attractive.

I guess it could be worse. In my day we wore hip-hugger jeans. Men's t-shirts, bandanna in our hair, hoop earrings, rings on all our fingers and moccasins on our feet. That was my outfit of choice. One of our Guild Banquets, we had to wear clothes from our high school days. It wasn't too hard to find all the items. I did opt for shoes as I didn't want to spend too much $$ on the moccasins but Mark loved the outfit, brought back a lot of memories and the kids thought I looked "cool".

Hope everyone had a good holiday!

We went and saw Marley and Me today, it's a good movie but be sure to bring the tissues!

I did 3.5 miles tonight in 28 minutes. Not too bad after 3 days off.

Denise that sounds like a cool outfit.

Scott Erica just bought her some of those jammie bottoms to wear, personally I like the look or maybe I just like the way my princess looks.

Anyone else glad this weird year is about over?

I did a pool workout this morning. It of course got nice out when it was time for me to head off to work. I can't win with the weather either.

Everyone have a wonderful evening.

After looking rather blah all weekend, I decided to get up at 6, take a shower, do my hair and makeup and start the day. It's 46 out. Unheard of in NH in the dead of winter. So, we're heading out to do 8 miles my final long walk before the 1/2. I"m lucky for the temps and will look cute during my walk. Alas, 2 showers in a day won't kill me.

We glued the pin backs this morning, I'll get the addresses on the puffy envelopes and will mail tomorrow.

Off to change and head out for my miles.

denise

Very very windy here, 60 mhp gusts and sustained at 20 mph. yesterday when brining in the trash can it was blown outta my hands.

Denise, stick with your HS style, a clasic. I finally feel old enough to go outside in jammies and bathrobe just to fill the bird feeder in the darkness of morning, I must be vain, LOL.... better summed up as follows:

The day will come when
All the pretty girls will call me "sir,"
Now, where they're asking me how things are
Soon they'll ask me how things were

We did get packed sorta, for WDW. Work tomorrow Oh well back to teh salt mines.

Jennifer, thanks for the heads up on the movie, I'll pass to sad for me.

great job on your run.

Good Morning Team!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, it was a beautiful day here, and we got out for long run (Scott) and walk (me and the dogs)! It has been cold and windy since then, so the outside exercise has been put on hold. We did walk around alot of stores on Friday, using gift cards and trying to take advantage of Christmas sales, but there was not much Christmas stuff left - I think because of the 50% off before Christmas prices! Yesterday, I finally got my leg exercises in, today we may brave the wind for a short walk with the dogs, then get some inside exercise. As Scott said, we did get most of the packing for WDW done yesterday.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Guys.

Scott, as I get older I find that I start feeling I couldn't care less about what people think about the way I dress. I'm fine with a hard gym workout and stopping at the market on the way home in my running shorts and tank top. We often go to Red Lobster right after our LSD days, sweaty clothes and all. If it's a hot day we will take a fresh shirt to put on before we go in.

Lynn, glad your feeling better and got in a good LSD with the pups and the senile one.

Denise, can't wait to see our presents. Especially can't wait to meet you and Mark, he sounds so cool. I still have his bumper sticker as my wall paper.

Everyone have a super day.

Did 2 mile loop stopped for a bathroom break, another 2 mile loop, a break and snack, then off for 4 fast miles went great. It was 60 this afternoon a beauty and a lucky break for us,

On 12/25/85 my mother died of breast cancer. We try not to dwell on that and it's been many years so we are ok with it now. We now we can dwell on a more positive thing, Christmas brought us unexpected news. We will have a new member of the family doing the 1/2 marathon the youngest on record - in utero. Yes Miranda is now pregnant and will probably walk the race with me. Looks like she will be due late summer. The little stick had a plus. We will amend her pin to include Miranda and Little Squirt. Hopefully she will get the ok from the Dr and be able to do it with some advice.

So in addition to our really good walk day I will be Queen Mum this year since she has always been the queen,

Guess I have another quilt to plan!
