Hakuna Matata Chistmas Greetings!

Congratulations, Queen Mum! Grandchildren are way more fun!:cloud9:

Scott, I finally have enough courage to run out the back door to my truck in my jammies, for something I have left behind. But that's the closest I will get to wearing jammies in public. Keep in mind, that there are fewer than 50 addresses in our zip code! :rotfl:

Dave, I am never really happy for a year to end, no matter how weird, odd, difficult or traumatic. I guess, I like old years, old dogs, old bathrobes, old jeans and old pandas! :lmao:

Well Connie darlin, I like your taste in Pandas.

This Panda loves all his pretty princess buddies and can't wait to join them again at the happiest place in the world.

Erica will wear her jammies home from Disney. She wore her jammies home from Gatlingurg.

Is everybody ready to party!!!

Disney, Disney, Disney!!!

Morning Kids back at work, did get in 2 miles on hte TM this morn, very very windy here the past couple of days, 40MPH with stronger gusts, we too the pups for a walk and it was 45 MPH on the home stretch, man that was a work out walking into the wind.

Ready for WDW, we are sorta packed, stuff set aside for Qwners Locker,

Happy Monday Team!!

Congrats! Denise & Miranda, what wonderful & exciting news.

Jenifer, you are a braver soul than I for seeing Marley & Me. I did read the book & as a lab owner or as a dog owner in general there is not enough kleenex in the world to get me through that movie.

Very rainy here on Sat. & did a short run on the tm. Yesterday was not too bad for late December. There were even tiny glimpses of the sun, but very windy. Training program called for a 11 miler. We still have quite a bit of ice & snow on the roads/ sidewalks. Went out hoping for a mininum of 8 miles. Felt good & pushed for a 12 miler.

Very quiet at work today. It's a good day for this :surfweb: .....Sue

Good Morning Team!

Congrats Denise (and Miranda)!

Sue - great job on the 12 miler!

It looks like it might be a nice day here, there is a high wind warning for noon today until 8am tomorrow, but the high is supposed to be 50 degrees, and it is not too windy now. Will try to get out for walk early before wind really picks up again. I am planning on a 6 miler today.

Have a great day everyone!

Just back from lunch. Letting you know that all the pins are in the mail. Dave, your envelope is extra puffy because I sent you the pins for our Canadian friends to deliver either at the POP meeting or the Expo. I want to make sure if I have a weather delay that everyone has their pins.

You each have 3 pins so if you have a support group they too have 3 pins each. In case you want to put one on your bag, hat or the pin back breaks etc. I plan on putting one of mine in a shadow box with my medals and a group picture.

Got to get back to work. See you NEXT WEEK!

Well, I officially have my post-Christmas stomach bug (I've gotten it every year since I was 8). It decided to hit half way through my 5 mile run. With the walk home I probably made it about 3 miles of run/walk. Hopefully, it's just a 24 hour thing and I'll be good to go for my midnight 5k on Wednesday. My training has been so sporadic that my goals are realistic 25s, real goal 24s again, and what was supposed to be my goal but would now be amazing a sub 23:45.
Safe travels and racing to those heading down to the World!

Jennifer

Hi guys.

Erica took advantage of this wonderful day for a 10 mile walk. We had a nice time 2 hr 21 min. It was a very comfortable pace except that my feet felt to tight in my racing flats after about 8 miles so I ordered a pair a half size larger for the race. Other than that the walk went really well.

We are as ready as we are going to get, except for some taper till race day.

Denise, thank you and Mark for your gifts. I will make sure our Northern friends get theirs.

Jennifer, I hate stomach bugs.

Dave:hippie:

Jennifer hope you are better,

I was a slug today, wind kept me up so I slept in till 0522 and then got ready fr work, maybe tonight I will hit the TM, winds are predicted to be in the 50 MPH range....

Have a great one...

TTFN

Lynn is taking a test to be a census taker today, I told her to wear slip off shoes and low cut socks, easier to take off and help her count.

OMG every time I think of the Census I think of the

Three Stooges!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imax93Iwp88

This is one scene but my favorite is

Curly on the couch
Moe behind him asking questions:
Where were you born?

Curly - Lake Winnipesaukee
Moe - How do you spell that?
Curly - W-i-n-n -- woof.... better make that Lake Erie - I have an uncle there.

Yes I know I"m in the minority - a girl that loves the Stooges and I can quote them with the best of the men!

This place sure gone CRAZY. - another favorite.

OK, back to work for me. Funny thing is, a local TV station plays the stooges non-stop New Years Eve. Normally we have snacks, take down the tree and watch them. This year will be no different.

Good Morning Team!

Denise - thanks for all your work on the pins - I will be looking for them in the mail!

Jennifer - feel better soon - good luck on your 5K!

Yesterday was beautiful here, the high wind never happened, and it was warm and sunny. The dogs and I did get in a 6 mile walk. Wind started up last night, blew all night and is still blowing- 30-35 mph winds with 50+ gusts. As Scott says, I am off for a test for a census taker postion. It has been a long time since I had to take any kind of test!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi I am Miranda, the newly pregnant! Thank you for all the congrats and well wishes! Thanks! we are very excited! hopefully I can still get my medal. :)

Denise, thanks for the training video for Lynn. LOL

Lynn went to take the test and the power in the building went out as they were about to say open the booklet so she will return today. I think it will be fun for her.

WOW a year is behind us and a new one on the horizion, lots of days to be lived in for sure.

Curly, Larry and Moe rock. They are not dead either, they are running the country.

Happy New Years Eve dear friends.

To all of my teammates:

I can't believe this year is spent. It has been a challenging year in lots of ways for all of us. Big changes, little changes, and lots of lumps and bumps along the way. I have enjoyed all of your posts and have loved being a part of your lives every single day! Thank you.

Don't be surprised to discover that Tomorrow you find a band new Hakuna Matata forum! I am willing if y'all are!

Happy New Year!
Love, Connie

Hi everyone!
I'm feeling better and racing tonight. It's probably not going to be great between having been sick and my slacking on training.
My goals are realistically around 25:30, hopefully around 24:30, should have been around 23:30.
Best,
Jennifer
