Hakuna Matata Chistmas Greetings!

Good Morning Team!

Connie - hope you are feeling better!

Dave - hope your day goes quickly, and Erica's also.

We put a suet feeded out near our bird feeder, but the birds have not discovered it yet - they sure do swarm the bird feeder.

The weather is pretty nice here so far, partly cloudy, warmer (much warmer than yesterday), wind is supposed to calm down a bit this afternoon. The weekend is supposed to be really cold!

I got in a 4 mile walk yesterday, I am not coughing much during walks, just when I get home!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone,

Weather and exams have once again been cutting into my training schedule, but I've still been getting in at least the requisite 3 3+ mile runs a week for maintenance. Hopefully, now that classes are over I'll get back on track.

Best,
Jennifer

Y'all are not going to believe this!! All of this talk about snow...and we...here in Mississippi...might actually get some! They think even 3+ inches!!!!! Woo Hoo!!

I am excited! We have not had snow in years. :) Not real snow...if you call this real snow! :)

I will take pics if we get some! Just had to tell you guys.

Good evening,
I think I am beginning to understand what they mean by climate change. Here I am, living in Québec, and there is not one inch of snow on the ground, it was around 45 degrees yesterday and way down south there talking of maybe 3 inches of snow. It could be a good thing for us since they will have to move WDW up north.:rotfl:

The hills were done on Tuesday and it wasn't too bad even though I hate to do that. I'm working on the race I will do next year and I know for sure that I will be in Ottawa in May, the Disney race for the taste in October and the big one, the half marathon at Disney in January 2010. :cool1:

Have a nice day because in 36 minutes it will be tomorrow
Diane

Good morning Team!

I hope this day finds everyone doing better! It's no fun to have ailments, aches and injuries at this time of year....or any other for that matter! :)

Got 3 miles yesterday. Felt like 30, but it's coming along.

Make a great day, everyone!

Good Morning Team!

It was a nice day here yesterday, but I spent all afternoon shopping - at least most of my Christmas shopping is now done! I only had time for a short loop with the dogs when I got home. Today is nice and I will do a good walk before my PT appt. The cold weather forecast has been delayed until Sunday, so Sat. should be nice for our 5K race. I am still coughing, but less each day.

Connie - pixiedust: for you, hope your shoulder feels better!

Denise - the dog video is great!

Mary - hope you survive the snow!

Have a great day everyone!

Went to my first PT last night – same place as I went to for my neck a few months ago. It was nice seeing all of them and again causing trouble – it’s what I do best!:cutie:

It was just an evaluation so not too much was done, I go back Saturday morning for an hour session

This was a new guy for me, young and cute and had just done his first Marathon here in town in November, his next one is Maui. Told him about Disney and he had been to the parks and the World a couple of times but had never heard about the Marathon. When I explained the route, he thought it was pretty cool and a definite must do in the future.

No word yet on working out and training but will give it a go this weekend if ok with them.

We’re expecting freezing rain, snow, sleet and plain old rain. Cuddle weather.

Have a great rest of the week.

Oh Eva I'm so sorry that is just yucky news. At work I use had sanitizer after every patient so I don't catch that. Since a lot of contact wears are caught without regular glasses and have to make an emergency trip to us for quick glasses.

Mary, SNOW is a 4 letter word. But I bet 3" in Miss would stop traffic for a while.

I'm finally done with my last 12 hr shift for the week and Sunday we leave for Gatlinburb.

Have a restful evening y'all.

I have gotten it in the past and it's always bacterial....my own fault for messing with my contacts all day long at work. The start to dry out when I stare at my computer so I take my finger to move them when they stick. I work in an airport...and it's dirty. I know...so gross. BUT the good news is..it'll be cleared up in a couple of days with the drops and I will be able to wear my contacts for my next 20 miler on the 21st. More importantly, I will be able to wear contacts for my WEDDING!

Dave - I am so jealous of you guys for your upcoming trip...remember PICTURES!!

Denise - pixiedust: for your chest! Love the sounds of your new stove btw!

Connie - pixiedust: for your shoulder!

Lynn - pixiedust: for your cough!

Jennifer - Good luck on those exams!! Take it easy...stress can be bad for your health (lol...pot calling the kettle black)

OK...gotta get ready for work...

Good Morning Team!

Thanks for the pixiedust.

Eva - pixiedust: back at you for your pink eye!

I am very sore this morning after yesterdays PT session! We added lunges to my list of exercises! We did get 4 miles in yesterday, and hope to do the same today!

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry Kids I have been MIA, lots o work and when I get home the last thing I want to deal with is a computer.

Take care All I will leave Lynn in charge. She has been doing real well with her PT and leg exercises.

I gotta get back to work.

Thanks and lots of PD for you too, Eva!! I hear wedding bells! :flower3: for a beautiful bride!

I thought I had written something earlier this morning, but I guess things went to poppin' too fast for me to keep track.

I did 4 miles yesterday. Man, I am out of shape! LOL But not to worry, I will recover real quick!

Just a quick drive by for me - I did my speed work and a 3 miler on the TM this week. It was too slushy earlier in the week and then it all froze over. My eating hasn't been great this week because I've been too busy to cook so I'll try weighing myself this weekend and see how badly things went.

I'm going to get my 9 miler done on Sunday and I'm going to cut my hair tomorrow! Yay!

Eva - Pink eye ... no fun! Don't worry I know someone in our office who got it too - so it's not just the airport.

Have a great weekend everyone!

:wave2: TEAM!

Connie - Congratulations on your First 4-miler in a long time...Way To Go! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Scott my part of New England is fine. I live on the west side of my city and for some reason we were not hit that hard. People in other parts of town - where Mark works was bad although he did not lose power.

North of us about 1/2 an hour is pretty bad. We went out last night and saw a lot of the hotel rooms filled up a lot of out of state power company trucks parked by Applebee's taking a well deserved break.

1/2 of our office employees do not have power and one girl has a generator but someone - during the summer- stole her gas cans to so she couldn't power it up and had a very hard time finding her way to a gas station because of the downed trees and power lines. Thankfully neighbor helping neighbor worked in this instance.

Mark and I usually go out on Friday night for a date but I was too tired so we stayed in. Good thing, most of the restaurants that had electricity were filled and long wait lines - I was happy to be home with power while other enjoyed a night of warmth, with food and lights. Even our local Hockey team (minor league for the LA KINGS) was giving out free tickets so that those who had no power could come and see a game just to have something to do that night.

Did my first PT yesterday and I was very sore. It seems I pulled something in my shoulder and my left arm pit. He said what I pulled is not very common unless it is with something else. So in some respects I'm lucky. I can walk my LSD but with my arms down for now so I will head out today with Mark to see how I do. We'll wait till later when it is a bit warmer.

So the news -at least from this part of New England - is ok.

Good morning guys.

Erica and I are off to Gatlinburg as soon as she comes home this morning and changes into travel clothes. She will sleep the trip away so she can have some energy when we arrive.

Gatlinburg has a lot of unique stores, one is just socks, another is all jammies, another sells all the stuff you see on the info commercials. We will have fun finding bear stuff for Erica and gifts.

It's a horrid cold gray rainy day here, I home it's better where we are headed, it's a couple of hundred miles south but up in the Smoky Mts. The forcast is for 60s and rain the whole time.

Denise I'm glad you missed the ice.

Everyone have an awesome week.
