party: Happy Birthday Saylan!! party:

:bday:

I can't think of a better place to celebrate than with the Mouse :) Hope you're having a fabulous day!

Good race this morning, lots of good walkers and some with that little shuffling run that think that is walking. We were drenched in rain and the wind made it very chilly. I got a third place, age group, medal and some stuff, but not my best race. It was challenging tough. I rested all day yesterday and felt tight today, I think I would have done better if I had trained a bit instead of putting my feet up all day.

Well Dave after reading your FB post this morning is sounds like you weren';t 100%, take care and feel better soon. 3rd is totally awesome!!!!

Yep woke with a bug this morning. Not sure if it is what Sally had or the results of being wet and cold for 4 hours waiting for my award and the money drawings.

Hope everyone is taking precausions for the up coming flu and cold season. It is predicted to be a bad year for it.

Good morning team! It's a chilly morning! Such weird swings in the weather - Saturday was Florida muggy and hot and this morning is cool and crisp. I guess fall can't be too far behind. I had a tough training session yesterday - I felt like I couldn't get through and my trainer and I were thinking that I hadn't let enough time go by between the time I ate and started to work out. It's probably my "just dessert" for telling my trainer that I wished the boot camp was more challenging LOL

Dave - Congrats on your race! Third place is awesome!! pixiedust: for a quick recovery!

Tandy - That's great that you were able to ride bike! Bummer on the rain storm cutting your trip short. I would have done the same thing. No point in spending a night being wet and miserable... that's not my idea of a vacation. I did pace myself through the boot camp and I made sure to start with exercises I knew I'd have trouble with like the TRX rows. Oh and I've eaten those deep fried treats before - the Mars bar, Twinkies .. they don't really have a taste other than being super sweet (not worth it). We'll start another round of the BL challenge on Friday! No worries the 3 lbs will be gone in no time :)

Regina - I'm hovering back around the 140 lb mark again  Congrats on your loss!! Awesome! I got some baking done on the weekend. I took a muffin recipe and added some protein powder into it. They're not too bad but I think the powder made them rise with a funny shape. They taste pretty good though :)

Lynn - Sounds like there were a lot of WISH'ers at DL! Congrats on your 5K! It may have been slow but it sounds like it was a lot of fun!

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

Thanks Vicky!

Sorry catching up on work means little play time. Plus, I caught a cold either the day before we left or on the plane. Colds with me escalate fast and it's been a rough time of it. Being in Disneyland definitely helped me ignore it though. I've never had so many people wish me a happy birthday in my life. It was amazing.

Rest tonight and then maybe an actual update (with photos of the outfit I mentioned and forgot to post before leaving). DBF and I finished the half, though. We were both limping around the parks like 80 y/os but I'm doing somewhat better today. He, however, is still very much worse for the wear. He thinks he bruised his feet. It's painful watching him walk.

He wishes I'd signed him up for the 5K too though because he wants the Star Tours medallion. Before the half he was talking of doing the 5k in January because '5K is nothing' :sad2: and after the half he's thinking the Donalrd or being my partner for the Chip/Dale. :confused3 I think he's addicted to the bling. Plus, he wants to get under 2 hours (he was a little ruffled when he saw Drew Carey beat him :rotfl:). Either way, I think he has the bug now. He also wishes he ran the Princess with me so he could have got the C-2-C as well. That boy is crazy.

This is your Panda thought for the day:

I want to train at race pace, race at hyper speed but live life in the long slow lane. Life is to short to rush it.

Have a restful evening y'all.

Good Morning Team!

I am still on the iPad, so this will be short. It is our last full day at DL. Spent some time yesterday with Mike and Liz, had a good time. It is really hot here, in the upper 90's yesterday, looks to be even hotter today! Glad it was not so warm for the races!

Saylan - Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you had a grate day!

Vicky - to answer your question of a few days ago, we walked the 5K and cheered for the half.

We missed Mary and Emily - hope you both had good races!

Dave - feel better soon!

Have a good day all!

Hi team! Thought I'd give us a bump back up to the top...

Lynn - Can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back! Sounds like the weather was pretty hot - how was it the day of the 5K and the half?

Gerry - Enjoy your cruise! Have a great time :)

Dave - Hope you're feeling better! Give that cold a big Panda GRRRR!!

Tandy - pixiedust: for your calf! Keep us posted on what the doctor says! I hope things go well today!

Saylan - Drew Carey sure is speedy! Didn't he run a 1:50 or something like that? He looks like he's lost a lot of weight! That's awesome that DBF is getting into running and racing. That will be cool if you have a partner for the Chip and Dale relay!

AFM - My knee had been feeling funny again last week so I booked an appointment to see my PT. Fast forward to Tuesday... I switch to a new pair of runners, the weather cools down and I ice my knee after the run and now everything seems okay. Go figure! I'm still keeping the appointment... because Murphy's law, right?

I did my boot camp last night and it was pretty good. Most people seemed pretty tired and it's tricky because it doesn't start until 8PM. The stations were the same - one for arms, one for cardio and one for weights. There are two more free sessions - Saturday and next Wednesday and then they're going to decide whether to keep running the sessions and charge for them or to cancel them. I know they have enough interest for the classes but they're probably afraid that it might take away from people buying training sessions. I hope they keep them :)

Have a great day everyone :wave2:

Hi, everyone,

Just a quick note to check in; I'll catch up on all posts but glad to see that everyone is doing well.

Tandy: how are you?

Rick: did you get any info to help you with your 1-miler? I'm sorry that I can't, my first race was a 1-miler so I didn't have a strategy, just a desire to finish without being last!

Dave: hope you are feeling better!

Vicky: hope that the knee continues to be pain-free!

Saylan: glad to hear that your DBF has become a full-fledged runny buddy. Post those pics soon!

Mary: Can't wait to read more about the trip!

AFM: still not allowed to run so more biking for me. Enjoy the weekend, everyone!

Thanks guys! I will definitely post pics and thoughts.

Oh a non-workout related, I-need-advice-and-don't-know-who-to-ask kind of way... Has anyone ever had to deal with cyber-harassment? I wouldn't bring it up except I'm not really sure where to go or what to do and it's to the point where my real life may potentially be dragged into it.

Yes I slept to about 3:30 today and feel almost human again, guess I needed the rest. At least I"m not injured.

Great job on the DL half to all our traveling team mates.:thumbsup2

Dave:hippie:

Saylan: Wow that is terrible, I am sorry I have no advice for you but I hope it is something that you can have fixed that sounds really scarey.

Dave: Glad you are feeling better

Vicky: Sorry to hear about your continuing knee problems, hopefully it was just the shoes and your knees will continue to improve

Hey team how is everyone doing? Ding ok here, still have thigh tightness and I am trying to jog through it and stretch it out we will see if this is going to be a continuing nagging injury or eventually go away.

Have a great Friday all

Thanks Kim. I'm looking at a few avenues and have reported the harassers to their e-mail providers (from where the majority of it is coming). I can't report them to FB apparently because they haven't said anything on there, but have used it to pull my personal information from it. :sad1:

I've blocked everything I can block at this point so I'm just not sure where to go from here.

Saylan - I don't have any experience with this but I would say to document as much as you can. Hopefully it will never get to the point where you need to take action but if it happens, you want to have as much evidence and proof of the harassment as possible. If this person has made any direct threat against you, you should contact the authorities. I have a friend who's a police officer and he says they get calls for everything from cats getting stuck in a tree so they'd probably take your situation seriously. He says they have to investigate everything.

You could also use the Internet to research information on this person as well. Maybe get an idea of who they are ... where they're from.

Sorry I don't have any more advice. Stay safe and keep us posted on things. I hope it gets resolved and nothing serious will happen.

Happy Friday All!

We are back in town, got in yesterday afternoon, picked up dogs at kennel, partially unpacked. Trying to get back into regular routine today. Only gainned 2 pounds on the trip! (Do I get minus points for gaining weight?) Got dogs out for walk, it was quite cool this morning 44 degrees.

Elizabeth - hope you are enjoying the biking, as that is what you are still forced to do.

Dave - glad to hear you got some sleep!

Vicky - Yes,the weather did not get really hot until after the races, it was nice for both races.

Kim - Hi!

Saylan - I did not realize you would also be at DL, sorry we missed you also.

Have a great day all!

Oh, I know who it is and where they are. I also know this person is the relative of a police officer. No direct threats have been made yet but I was 'out of sight, out of mind' while away so it's coming back out again now that I'm back.

I'm keeping every record of correspondance (which I do anyways) but I think I'm running out of options as to how to establish what's been going on as it has been across a variety of mediums.

I don't plan to go to the authorities as the person isn't in Canada so it's kind of difficult to investigate too much from far away but if any direct threats come out, I am prepared to do it. I certainly already feel violated and opaguely threatened given the amount of personal information this person has on me.

Saylan: I have no good advice, but just wanted you to know that I think it sucks! I hope you find a way to get it all taken care of.

Lynn: 2 pounds is nothing on vacation! I would call that a success!;)

Kim: I hope your leg loosens up soon. Believe me, I feel your pain!

Vicky: How's the knee? Are you taking care of it? I truly don't think there's any way in the world I could do bootcamp at 8 pm! I'm in bed by 9.:lmao:

Dave: Are you and Sally feeling better? Yes, flu shot is in order as soon as I have time. :thumbsup2

Elisabeth: Any word on when you can start running again? I like biking as much as the next guy, but it's just not running. :thumbsup2

AFM: The boot is officially off!!!!!!:yay: Of course, I now get to start 6 weeks of PT, but at least I can walk. When the doc felt my leg, he said I did a really great job of tearing up the muscle. He was surprised at how torn it was, now that the swelling is down, and he can feel in there. But, he said no surgery, and moving on. He is hoping I can start running in another month. Of course, he pointed out that starting to run does not mean 20-40 miles a week. :rolleyes1
I had the week from H#@* at school. Nightmare test in Anatomy & Physiology, but it's over. I get to take the ACT tomorrow. Oh joy. It'll be the hardest thing I do this year, so I just want to get it over with.

Time to go study. Have a great weekend everyone.
