Hi Team!
Finally checking in here again. I've caught up on everyone's postings so far and it sounds like everyone is doing great with their long runs and staying healthy! Great job everyone!
Lots going on here as chaos still reins in some areas of my life. Last week I only slept in shifts, and was up about 25 hours on Friday by the time we got back from seeing Rick and the Klingons. Great show! Got a really nice LSR done on Saturday with Rick and haven't run since...
The Christmas lights are up on the house, caught up on the laundry, paid the bills, cleaned house, volunteered at Robert's school and am now sitting down with a margarita. I had a cancer doc appointment today after a rough night at work. I was fasting for the blood work and only drinking water last night and for some reason developed horrible stomach pains. I've fasted plenty of times and don't really know what happened. I almost called Liz and told her to meet me at the local hospital. I was doubled over for awhile, and finally gave up on the fasting. It took a couple of hours for the pain to totally subside as the food digested but it worked. Uggg!
At the docs appt. I found out that one of my liver enzymes is elevated a little but the overall numbers look good. I have to go for a CT scan of my chest and abdomen next week to make sure the bloodtests are not missing anything. So, I'M A LITTLE STRESSED AT THE MOMENT...
On the positive side, Robert won a ride to school in our village D.A.R.E. police car. It's a really tricked out squad car for the program to talk to kids about drugs, alcohol, and gangs. I get to ride along! (on Friday)
I want you all to know that I may have just typed a bunch of stuff about myself, but I really do read all of your postings and find tons of inspiriation, smiles, motivation, and kindness going on between everyone here. Right now, I would really rather sit on couch feeling sorry for myself and finding something to binge eat, worrying about cancer, mine and a few others that I know. Instead, knowing that you are all out there training, and that I will be doing the WDW races with a bunch of you, I will avoid that emotional trap, and get my butt moving.
I like the roller coasters at Disney, at least I know they have and ending...
