You know, I didn't mind the crowds last Christmas. Now mind you, we had just been there for Thanksgiving, so our circumstances are different. I had nothing that I absolutely had to
do and in the end, ended up doing just about everything! If it was my first trip or my only trip in a bunch of years, it would be a different story.
One of the reasons I enjoy going at T'giving, is the fact that it is all decorated for Christmas. Memom, please breathe in the gingerbread for me at the Grand Floridian! Thank you!!
I do not recommend going at Christmas to those who are going for a once in a lifetime or a once every 5-10 years trip. I tell them when the better times are so that they can enjoy it to its fullest. For most families who 'live in Distown', even a crowded WDW Christmas will be amazing, because we know where to go and not go during the worst hours.
We had one Thanksgiving trip, and we very much enjoyed it. Normally, we don't have a week out for Thanksgiving, but that year we did, so we took advantage of it. Now we are back to the regular three days off, so we haven't done it again. I want to again someday, though, if it works out.
Just wanted to let you know I'm following along...just silently.
I had no doubt you would rock you evaluation and am SO glad the December trip is still on

Hoping that means Ohana for NYE is still a go too

(OK, so I know there's no cake but they don't have a stuff my face smilie)
You had more faith than I did about rockin' the evaluation.
As far as I know, 'Ohana is still a go.

And.....they don't need cake. They have bread pudding that can't be beat!
I dont get why they bump the prices up for food. I can see the rooms but why the food?
LOL. The Trent story is funny especially the buying the fish buckets.
Congrats on the evaluation.
I loved the Christmas pics.
I agree about Zawadi.
LOL. Love the return to blender shirt.
Thanks for the shopping pics.
Kinda hurts when I can feed the whole family breakfast at Cracker Barrel for the price of just me to eat at 1900 Park Fare.

But, I am hearing that there are going to be a lot of unexpected characters present the night we are supposed to be there, so I will probably suck it up and go.
If I ever get around to doing a report on the March trip, when the girls weren't with me, there will be many, many, many shopping pictures!
Just got caught up again at last - my 3

are keeping me busy and Dis time has been limited!
We're nearly ready to start planning/booking our next trip (Oct 2014) and hoping to use some DVC points at AKL so you're at just the right point in your TR to help me pick up some good ideas. Although we've visited the resort, this would be our first time staying there.
I can empathize. I raised three kids alone, and we were on the go, go, go all the time! Jill is raising three girls, too, and it is exhausting some days. It's quite a blessing, but lots of work, too.
I will take some AKL pictures in December, especially for you to look forward to while you wait.

Are you planning for Jambo or Kidani?
