Hair!!!

Hello,

I know questions regarding straightening hair gets asked alot on these threads but I was hoping someone could help me with a few questions?

1) If I buy a dual voltage hair straightner and manage to straighten my hair will it still get frizzy anyway with the humidity?

2) If so what can I do to avoid this? any tips?

We went in August a couple of years back and my hair would just start to curl as soon as we walked outside!!! In the end I just used to take it up, it wasn't worth straightening it.

When i went in Jan i wasn't sure what to do, whether to take my own or buy whilst i was out there, in the end i took my own and they were fine, they took a while longer to warm up but once they were hot they were fine, mine were thermostat not ghd. anyway i usually have big hair abroad but it stayed ddown just fine, and was suprised at how well my straighteners worked, (hope that all makes sense)

I find that my hair frizzes the first few days no matter what, but then it settles down. At home, I don't tend to use any products on my hair before or after straightening, but it definitely helps to use something in the Florida climate. I normally use a heat styling spray or non-greasy serum (I like L'Oreal's Lumino Contrast). I think it may just depend on your hair, so it's probably a case of trial and error.

Hi, I use John Freida's frizz-eze serum and my GHD straighteners but only at night. During the day i put some leave-in conditioner in that has a sun-screen and found that my hair was much easier to manage at night. It also stayed straight without frizzing.

We've got a transformer that we take for charging the phones, batteries etc and I use that to heat the straighteners. I found that without it they took a long time to heat and didn't get as hot which meant that they were drying my hair rather than straightening it.
