Okay, I have a friend who is cosmetologist who recommended I get woven in human hair extensions on a "track" instead of clip-in ones. She could get everything including the "installation" of them in for a lot cheaper since she knows people, but I'm kinda nervous about getting them done.

Here's the issue. I'm leaving 12-10-07 for Disney for vacation and I'm getting a hair trial with Ana while I'm there. I was going to purchase and bring extensions with me but I'm nervous about having them woven in for the duration of my vacation. Will I like them? Will they fall out? Can I swim in them?? Gah, so worried! LOL! :goodvibes

Anyone have woven extensions in before?

The only thing I know about hair extensions is what I've gleened from watching America's Next Top Model. :rolleyes1

From what I understand, if they're put in correctly.. you should be able to swim with them, shampoo them, etc. Everything you do with your normal hair. It may be a bit painful though when they weave them in and you may have that discomfort for awhile.

I'm buying clip in extensions so they are semi permeanant before I go. I can try them and if I don't like them they're easy enough to take out. I asked Anna who's doing my hair if she's ok with extensions and she said to make sure they are real hair and not synthetic as you can't straighten or curl them. Clip ins are just as good as having extensions put in at a salon but they are alot easier.
As this is for your trial I would try the option you think you are comfortable with. Like you said you're going to be on vacation and won't want your hair ruining it.

Hi there! When I have used extensions in the past I went with the glue on kind. I have heard that this is bad for your hair but I had great results really didn't lose any hair when I took them out. I had them in for about a month and they were great, the only complaint I had was how thick it made my hair lol. I think its a good option for something more permanent than clip ins and less permanent than weaving. Good Luck with whichever way you go and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!:goodvibes

I'm buying mine from ebay. I bought a sample the other day to make sure it was good quality. They range in prices but mine are about £34.99 ($70) I'm making sure I'm buying a lighter shade as I'm getting my hairdresser to dye it to match my own colour. And I'm buying 2 sets cause I don't want to not have enough hair... :lmao:

Hope it helps..

Thats a good idea about dyeing it to match your haircolor! What ebay store are you using?

Thanks for the help! That site looks great! Lots cheaper than anything I've seen!!!
