Hi
Everyone talks about the spa - and it sounds WONDERful but what if you want to get a haircut or your nails done?

Are those services available and what do they cost??

As of May 2002 -

Lady's wash, cut and style: $47-$63
Men's cut & style: $26
Semi-permanent: $44-$53
Highlights: from $71-$89
Permanent Wave: from $62-$89
Permanent Color (roots): from $58-$71

Milk Nourish for the Hands: 45 minutes, $36
Peppermint French Ritual for the Feet: 60 minutes, $50

Sorry, I don't know the manicure prices.

Thanks - I was thinking of getting a hair cut before we leave but it would be fun to do it on ship.

If you go to a trusted hair stylist I would stick to her. Not saying they don't do a good job on the ship, but personnally, I hate a new haircut. It takes at least a week to get used to it.

I would hate to get it cut onboard and then not like it and be unhappy the whole cruise.

Again, that's just me.

I was warned not to do anything drastic in the ship salon - just in case I didn't like it... however, I had most of my hair cut off... and LOVED it... (lucky me, huh?!)... it wasn't the most or least expensive haircut I have ever had, but definitely one of the best.

I had a manicure, pedicure and haircut on our Dec 2001 Magic trip.
All three were great.
I went from shoulder lenght hair to somthing just slightly longer than my hubbys...and I love it.

I would recomend going to the hair consult the first day - usually right about the time the ship sets sail. That was a great chance to talk with the stylist and discuss likes and dislikes.
It was the best haircut I have had.
My stylist at home did a great job of maintaining it. But it has changed a bit over the year.
Also the stylist who did the consults on our sailing was the senior stylist onboard and having the consult with her aloud me to get an appointment with her. I don't know if this is something you would find out unless you asked - she told me during the haircut.

The manicure and pedicure were great also. The results lasted longer than when I get them at home...I don't know why but it was great. I still had nicely polished nails when I got home.

Have a blast.

I had my haircut on board last January. It was nothing drastic, but I did like it...except the cost!! The one thing I did like was the consult I had first where she suggested I let some of my bangs grow out! Excellent suggestion!

I was not impressed with the pedicure I got. I do a better job myself at home.

Have a great time!
