I have heard a lot of people say they got the headband style. How much more money is it for your whole head? Which is better? Any info. you can give would be great.

On the ship a headband, with no braids going down the back, (cornrows) was 2 dollars per braid with approximately 15-20 braids, plus tip.

$30-40 plus whatever you tip (another 10-15% of the total?)

My daughters lasted a good month before they got sick of them and took them out.

They loved them, but it can hurt a little when getting them done.

Mine hurt ALOT! I suffered through the process of getting the headband braids in Nassau only to take them out after dinner that night. In my pictures from dinner my eyes look different from my hair being pulled back so tight! I don't consider myself a wimpy person either...I did birth three rather large babies!!

My DD said it did hurt getting it done, but did not complain about it after except to say that she had to sleep in a slightly different position. She got the headband style on the ship and with tip, I paid $36. The girl who did it said to take them out within 2 weeks bc it's not good to have the hair pulled so tightly for too long. It was gorgeous, she had red, white & blue beads which she strung into a necklace when we took them out.

One word of advice, no matter where you have it done, bring your own comb and brush.

Don't forget the sunscreen for the newly exposed skin!

It burns rather easily!

When my daughter had them, they put Solarcain on the head (in between the braids) and it eased the soreness.

We just came back from 7 day western and had my DD's hair done in Cozumel. I wanted to wait until after formal night, because it just wouldn't have looked right with a floor length velvet gown.

Anyways, they charge $2 per braid, but they charged $20 for half hair (headband style) with rubberbands only, or $25 with beads and she has about 14 braids.
