hair braiding

My 6 year old had the top of her head braided all of the way across with the beads right on the ship. The cost was $35 including tip. It took approximately 15-20 minutes and looked great. We cruised on a 4 day double dip in July 08 and had it done right on deck with no appointment while the ship was docked in Nassau, no wait at all. I would recommend waiting until most of your beach stuff is done as were were picking grains of sand out for days.

As a side note, I took my older daughter on RCCL for her b-day this month and had hers done on an island. The ones done are DCL were MUCH nicer, and I ended up paying more!

Last cruise our DD had the headband done and it was adorable. However, she did cry because they pull tight! But being a true female, she didn't want to stop because it looked cute...beauty is pain! :ROTF:

I would never have it done in port, you have no way of knowing the last time the combs were cleaned and I live in fear of lice. I actually read somewhere that it is not recc' to have done in port because of sanitation.

ETA: DD had very long hair at the time and this is how it looked
