Hair ? and DH...back with pics!

I don't know. I understand what she means, though...

When I get my nails done, I bring my polish - and I'll ask my husband "this one or this one?" KWIM?

I get what she means to. I wanted my DH to shave his 'stache for 14 years and one day he finally did it. I know he only did it for me b/c he had had it since he was a teen but once he shaved and everyone commented on how much younger he looked he kept it off, lol. Of course, he could grow it back in about a half hour:lmao:

True that!

AMEN!! DH has had the same hair 'style':rolleyes1 for the last 30 years and he's gonna tell ME how to wear mine? My foot would be sooo far up his behind that he would be licking my toes!!

Cheermom, you're beautiful. Short hair looks fabulous on you (but so does longer hair).

I actually like the longer hair better. I think the shorter hair makes you look older. Your eyes look beautiful green.

My DH prefers my hair longer as well BUT when it's longer I tend not to do it very much and end up just putting it up in a ponytail. My compromise was that if I could keep it shorter I would be more likely to do it more often which makes me "look" better! :-)

I actually think the shorter haircut makes you look younger. Me and DH also had this same battle for the first 10 years of our marriage. He finally gave up after he saw how frustrated and miserable I was with long hair.

DH says that he likes longer hair (as do most of his guy friends) because "long hair is the most outward sign of femininity that a woman can show".
Whatever!!!! Because with my chin-length bobbed hair cut, I must totally look like a man.

I think you should leave your hair however it makes you feel the most attractive. Then you will be more self-confident in your appearance which most men find appealing.

OP did you have long hair when you all met?

Have you heard the adage: "Men marry and want you to never change, Women marry and all they want is to change their man" ...or something like that.

It's just that your husband probably wants you to stay the very same way he has best memories of you! It's not so much the hair but wanting everything to stay the same! My two cents!

And that may be true for a lot of men, but my hair was short when DH and I started dating, and it was short when we got married. I guess maybe he is the exception to the rule.

I agree that you should keep it shorter since your hair is so fine.

You do have really pretty eyes! Have you ever thought of getting your brows waxed? That would draw even more attention to those green eyes. :thumbsup2

Yes I have waxed a lot really but I've been lazy and I pluck most times...:rolleyes1

as far as my hair being long when we met yes it was long when we first met 15 years ago...however we have been on and off so many times till 7 years ago and I had short hair back and forth all that time..when we got married it was longer than in the 2nd pic...but in my defense I grew it out for him since he really wanted longer hair for the wedding...

I told him I wanted it cut so he said to have it cut tomorrow :goodvibes

thanks ladies for all your replies and for saying how pretty my eyes are and I think I'll have to get my brows waxed tomorrow too..:thumbsup2

what do you think of this cut??

I like the shorter hairstyle best on you.

DH doesn't get a say in my hairstyle. It has been all different lengths in the 15 years we have been together. If he likes it, great. If he doesn't...well it isn't his hair. I pick what I feel is flattering to me, not what my DH wants.

I have fine, thin hair also. My DH also likes it long. I finally gave in and have been growing it a couple years. Once it got past my shoulders, I started to really like it. My hairstylist puts in "invisible" layers to give me volume on top. I get foils to give me some texture. I know other people are saying it's your hair do what you want, and that's true, but if the one person you want to be attracted to you likes you better with long hair, why not try it? I think it looks good both ways.

If you have always kept it short, I'd have to wonder how he became attracted to you.

I'd do what you like. The hair should not be a deal breaker if he married you despite it being short anyway.

I do keep my hair "long" but that is b/c it takes so long to recover for a short cut. My DH prefers the length, but so do I. I have gone short once--and it took forever to grow out (4 years!). I just was not happy with it. I would NEVER cut it off for someone. I don't think you should grow it for someone either.

like I said he was voicing his opinion and all I wanted to know is if there was something about my hair being long that I wasn't seeing and he was that was it..

with that said I am getting my hair cut today, I decided I like it better short and he is fine with it b/c at the end of the day it is my hair and he wants me to be happy...:goodvibes

I like the do in the pic.

As for your question---some men love long hair, others love short.....just as they have differing opinions about the other attributes about us women.

My DH and I had this same issue. I had my hair very short (almost a pixie cut) and I loved it, but DH asked me to grow it long again.

In my case I chose to grow it out. My DH was not demanding about it and it is a small thing to me so I didn't mind. If I had fely very strongly about keeping it short I'm sure my DH would have understood as well. :goodvibes
