Hair ? and DH...back with pics!

I can't see the pictures so I don't know how bad it does look. I was only suggesting that so that maybe the DH could see that he was wrong and agree with her that she looks better with short hair. However since she has tried this method and it doesn't work then go get it cut.

No problem ...I didn't take it as anything other than you giving a suggestion...:goodvibes

AWE thanks ...

You know what you could do, to change it up a bit, but still keep it short....

You know when people have the front a tad longer than the back? Not the Posh Spice angle thing....but almost from your ears forward a choppier, longer version, than the back?

I did this for a long while, as I liked my back shorter than my front. gave the illusion of longer, but it was still pretty short.

I have a better one - I gotta find it.............

I think it looks better shorter however if you wanted to pacify your dh you could just get a layered shag to keep a bit of your length and give you the framing around your face that the shorter cut gives you. If you don't like it, you can always get the length cut off and still have the shorter style.

This is what I do because I like short hair on me, but also want long hair. This is my cut

I've had that cut too...:goodvibes

I love to experiment so I normally go in and tell them they have creative control..they really like that...I've been lucky I've only had a few bad ones...LOL

But this last time back in oct. is when I had the first pic hair cut and she really did a great job so I think i;ll go back to her...and she only charged 10 bucks...I was SURPRISED to say the least when she told me how much it was..:goodvibes

it looks really good on you ...I think I might have a color put in there :rolleyes1

Here we go - see how short the back was?

I know mine is driving to school for the first time today and I'm well sitting here so worried ..the point was to let me sleep in but I got up and worried the whole time...:sad2:

Most men don't think about how their SO's hair looks in terms of it flattering a face. They look at it in terms of thinking about running their fingers through it and having it fall down around them in intimate moments. They like longer hair because the feel of it is sensual, and the longer it is the more tactile pleasure they will get out of touching it. It enhances the impression of femininity in their minds.

Chris Rock recently did a documentary on the whole issue of hair care in the AA community, and he went on Oprah's show to promote it. She invited him to run his fingers through her hair because it is all hers, and his reaction was priceless. He talked a lot about the frustration of not being able to play with a woman's hair if she had it carefully styled with extensions.

YES! This! :thumbsup2

First, I am all for doing whatever you want to do with your hair & your body. If you like it keep it. I also think you have pretty eyes.

Now that I said that I have to be honest, I think the ever so slightly longer hair makes you look younger and more playful. The short blunt cut looks very serious to me and seems to harden your expressions a bit, not that it's not pretty on you, its just not as soft. Ask your DH for more details on what it is he likes or dislikes about the old -vs- new look.

Some peoples faces just change more with stuff like that than others. For example, for a while my very handsome DH was wearing a Goatee because he wanted to look older and more serious at work. Well it changed something because every time I looked over at him he looked ticked off and this would mess with my mood. It took me about 2 months to realize what exactly it was about him that was throwing me off but it was the goatee. It was covering his smile lines so I couldn't read his face and his eyes are naturally a piercing navy color so the combo, while handsome, wasn't good. So while I would never dream of telling DH what to do he did end up taking it off on his own because of my observations.

In my own case I noticed I have a naturally sharp arch in my eyebrows which makes me look VERY angry when I'm not. When I do get mad one eyebrow arches up which can be bad sometimes. Think Mr. Potato head's 'Angry Eyes' in Buzz Lightyear :rotfl:. Anyhow, since noticing it I simply wax off the arch so they look softly rounded and that's that.

LOL I could do that...:thumbsup2

That is the reason I like my short hair, always have...thanks ladies ..I wanted to see if there was something i wasn;t seeing...:goodvibes

thanks for the eyes comment..what color do you think they are? no one can agree on one color for some reason..LOL

They look green to me. I love green eyes! I have very blue, my DH has dark brown, my oldest dd has brown, my other dd has hazel and my baby boy(who is almost 9, lol) has GREEN like yours! I was so excited when they turned green.

I also love that haircut that someone posted a link to. I think that would look great on you.

I just talked to DH and told him I wanted to get my hair cut..he said "it will be shorter than mine??" :lmao:

I told him I didn't care

Ok I have always kept my hair short and love it..now when I say short I mean chin length with bangs ...My hair is now below the chin and I want to get it cut again...however dh says he hates it and wants me to grow it out..now I ahve grown it out several times for him and I still like my short hair...what should I do??

thanks for the input...:goodvibes

Honestly I think it really depends on the type of relationship you and dh have. Would he grow his hair out long or get it cut really short or get a way that you like even though he doesn't like it, just to please you? If the answer is yes, and you can live with it, than I suppose you should. Personally, I think it's kinda rediculous that ppl. think they can't have their hair the way they want it because of their spouse. I don't know, it's just one of my pet peeves.

brockash, funny you should mention that b/c he has done things for me in th past so I guess I should be happy...:)

although I have decided I am not going to say anything about him getting his hair cut this time, he can let it grow out if he wants ..I have already gave up on him shaving...:lmao:

I don't give a rat's bottom what my husband wants me to do with my hair.

I like your hair better in the first picture.

I don't know. I understand what she means, though...

When I get my nails done, I bring my polish - and I'll ask my husband "this one or this one?" KWIM?

I guess it helps that my DH doesn't give a rat's bottom, so it's easy to not care what he thinks of my hair, makeup, clothes etc. If I asked him which nail polish, he probably wouldn't even look up, so I just can't relate. :)

Mine would give an opinion but I take it was that an opinion..but at the same time we've been together so long that I know what he likes and don;t like so I have no problem wearing the things he likes since I'm only dressing up for him anyway (when we go out and stuff) same with him he hates to wear anything other than jeans so if I ask him to wear slacks and a polo or something he will...:goodvibes

BF knows better than to tell me what to do with my hair. ;)
