Hags, Meltdowns, no makeup..OH MY!!!! 9/20 NEW PTR LINK POSTED

WOW- How rude of that woman. How silly that you got in her way on purpose just to tick her off. Then she felt the need to be rude to set you straight. :rotfl:

Some people just don't bring their common sense and decency out in public.

I deal with the public every day and the way I am sometimes treated is appalling. There are just some poeple who should not leave their house because they do not know to act and play nice with others.

I am glad you took the high road and didn't find yourself in Disney Jail.

I think Nemo is such a cute ride too!

We haven't eaten at Coral Reef yet...I wonder if my girls would enjoy seeing all of the aquariums!

Wow hag is right! What in the world??? She apparently didn't get the memo that Disney is the happiest place on earth! YIKES! :scared1:

It sounds like you handled it like a lady...you didn't let her get away with it...you made it clear that she was being rude. Seriously...what is wrong with people?

Looking forward to your World Showcase fun! :thumbsup2

WOW, really? I still don't understand why she was so mad? People walk in front of people ALL the time at Disney. There are people EVERYWHERE! Holy ba**s, rude!
Yummy! Grilled chicken salad.

Wow I cannot believe she said that to you and around your kids. How pathetic is her life that she has to call some person she doesn't even know that..not once but twice.

Coral Reef looks fun! It's definitely on my someday list for sure.

Some people just lack class nowadays I think. Who speaks in public, in front of their children like that? Ick. :sad2:

Great update! Sorry about the HAG! Too many people think it is all about them and then are all inappropriate. I'm kind of a hothead as well and stuff like that makes me so mad, I shake!

How rude. It never fails to amaze me how much of a bad example some parents set in front of their kids. And we wonder why some kids grow up with no manners.

Sounds like she should be somewhere else for her trip not WDW. No need for that at the world!

Went back to the begining and read EVERYTHING!

Way too much to comment on. :rotfl:

I'll just say some people are so miserable. Her calling you that name had more to do with her own misery in life. So let it roll!

Can't wait for more, Just loving it!!!

Hey Heather! I have noooo idea why it took me so many months to find this, but here I am...finally!!! :thumbsup2

I'm still way back on page 16 -- but I did read the last couple of pages because after reading other people's comments, I was curious as to what someone said to you!!! That was sooo incredibly rude of that lady to say to you! People can be so rude these days, but seriously -- at Disney? in front of your kids? and their own child? Just plain rude!!! It's true -- how are kids supposed to have manners when their parents behave like that in public? So very sad! But good job for not saying anything back! I know it must have been tough but it was the right thing to do with your girls there.

Back to what I've read so far -- your pics from Chef Mickey's are great! I actually cancelled our ADR for Chef Mickey's in September & after reading your report, I'm sad that I did. The food looks so good & I loved seeing the Contemporary! I've never been!

Your girls are absolutely adorable -- but I've probably told you that fifty times on facebook already! lol I've followed your other reports & it just amazes me how fast they grow up!!! I also think its great that you went on a trip with your MIL -- I am not close with my MIL at all. I love seeing pics of her interacting with your girls -- you can tell she really enjoys being a grandmother!!!! :)

I also wanted to tell you that after I read about your make-up incident on facebook, I immediately packed my carry-on bag for September -- and of course put my make-up in it!!!!! :lmao:

I will catch up tomorrow with the rest of your report!!! Loved all the pics so far!!!!

Wow...there seem to be all kinds of people in this world! Lol! Maybe it's the same lady my mom about got in fight with at DHS! lol.

I had the Disney app on my phone and we found out Handy Manny was doing meet and greets so we got there early as he was only doing it for a half hour and we knew this was something my nephew would just love! The little einsteins were still there and we had no interest in standing in that line to meet them and did not want to hog the line for others who still wanted to meet the little einsteins... So the CM told us to stand in front of the meet and greet and she would make sure we were first in line to meet Handy Manny! This was exciting to us.... Not only would Caleb and my nephew get to meet Handy Manny buy they would be the first to do so!
Well a line had now formed for Handy Manny by now. Handy Manny came out and we went to meet him. Well this woman thought she was first and starting going off that she was first...blah blah blah! I thought my mom was going to go off on her. Her grandbabies were promised first and they were goin to be first. Lol! We had tibexplain to her that it did look like we were cutting but we had special permission to be first! That woman glared at us the whole time! Lol! We still talk about the time grandma almost got arrested at Disney world! Lol

Oh my word!!!! See, stuff like that is just uncalled for. I can't tell you how many times at other parks that kids have just jumped in front of us for pictures. Now granted, they are not as organized as Disney with the way they handle the character greetings. But still! I would never glare at anyone or say anything. Some people just have no clue how to act in public!

Wow! Hag is right! You really handled it well:worship: LOVE LOVE LOVE the pixie dust line (bet you were really thinking that what she needed dumped on her was quite the opposite of pixie dust!;))

I know it gets hot, and people get crabbie, but there is no call for out of the blue foul language. shame on her - and the horrible example she set for her son.

Love that Hollie caught on to the rude behavior -- in those instances when Katie comments on how a rude a person is, I confess, I will agree with her rather loudly "Yes, that really was rude! What would have been a better way to handle that".... sometimes its a lesson for many.

LOL that was the only thing I could think of to say at the moment. But, your right. I was thinking of many things to say she needed dumped on her! ;)

It sure is a lesson for many!!

Love the new update and Coral Reef pics - sounds like you all had a great meal!

Oh my at that person saying that to you! Can't believe she called you that when you had your kids with you esp as you did not even do anything to make her say that. Some people! :confused3

Aw, thanks!!! We did have a great meal. I need to try something different next time instead of the salad! lol

I know! I think it would have been different had I bumped into her but I didn't even get near her!! lol

The Coral Reef is such a fun place to eat. So glad you were able to still sit close to the glass!

Wow. Some people are crazy! I'm proud of you for not saying anything bad back!

Go get your drink on in WS!!!

It sure is!!! Hollie said next time she wants to sit by the window!! lol

They sure are!! Aww thanks sweet girl! I am proud of myself too!! lol

Ugh! Considering you tell the story still with such rage I can only imagine what you were feeling! Great job doing the right thing!! Next trip you should walk around with 'decent dust' and you'll be ready if you need it for someone :)

Oh my word, it was awful! Honestly, she was probably in her early to mid 50's. It could have even been her grandson, but still.
HA HA Could you imagine!! I could walk around with a wand and anytime I see anyone being ugly I could go shake it over there head!! ha ha ha

I want to eat the Chicken Caesar Salad at Coral Reef just for the Parmesan Crisp. :rotfl:

I can't believe that lady. Gosh, there is no need to be so rude. I hope you were able to get "the slushie". I'm sure it helped calm your nerves.

LOL Yeah, that parmesan crisp was so good!!!! It was the first time they had put it with my salad there.

I know. I just tell myself the are just miserable period and just take it out on others around them!
Oh yes, the slushie helped! ha ha

We haven't gotten to Coral Reef yet. I did finally take a picture of the sign this time, though.

I'm glad you held your tongue and set a good example for your girls. :thumbsup2

Tell Hollie I am doing my outside bulletin board with a Nemo theme this year.

Aw, well I can't wait for ya'll to try it. Hollie just loves looking at the tank. She would take a bite of food and then the head would turn towards the tank! lol

Aw, thanks MeMom! I don't ever want my girls thinking that is okay to go out in public and just be ugly to folks. Its just not cool!

I told her and I wish you could have seen her face! First she said, "Is Brooklynn gonna help her?" Then she said, "If she does, can I go help to and see it. Oh, do you think she wants to borrow my big Nemo doll?" LOL

Wow hag is definitely right, kudos to you for keeping your cool!

It's scary to think how her son's gonna grow up if that's how she behaves in front of him

Aw, thanks! :)

I know, that is exactly what I was thinking. That poor boy!

I missed your Coral Reef pictures, but I'm all caught up now. I love Coral Reef! We got to go to a private party upstairs one time and they have a great private dining area with windows into the aquarium! It would be a great place for a wedding reception :goodvibes

Good thing you were able to hold yourself in check with the rude woman! I have to hold Jamie back sometimes - she tends to say what's on her mind and sometimes she could use a little stronger filter on her mouth ;)

Oh cool!!! I bet the private party was really neat! I agree, such a fun place for a wedding reception. Hmmm, wonder if I could talk Chad into a vow renewal and then we invite all our DISfriends!! ;)

Ha ha Jamie! I usually have a hard time holding my tongue. There was one time we were at the mall and it was the day of Hollie's actual 1st birtday. We got in the elevator and a teenage girl and boy were in there with us. Hollie was waving at them and blowing kisses to them. The girl looked at her like she was the biggest germ/bug/monster she had ever seen. So I look over at my mom and sister and said very loudly,

"Hey hold my purse a minute!" They were like, huh?? My mom said, "Why?" Then I said...

"Because I am about the knock this girls face with it!" Then I looked at her and said, "When my sweet baby girl waves at you. YOU don't look at her like she is a germ!!! You are supposed to wave back!! She is a baby for goodness sake!!! Not a bug!!!!"

Lets just say I think I still had some crazy hormones going on there!! LOL It was awful, yes. But I don't understand how people can be that way towards babies or kids. They are wonderful gifts and some people just have no clue!

I'm a hot head too so kudos for keeping cool in front of your girls :thumbsup2 That lady sounded like a nut though, it didn't even seem like you were in her way. I don't know what she was getting all bent out of shape over lol.

I will say it was hard!! lol

I was probably about 3 feet in front of her when I crossed her path. Hmm, maybe she doesn't like anyone crossing her path. Like it messes up her path walking or something??? ha ha ha ha

I've always said, Disney World either brings out the best or the worst in people. I'm so glad I'm one of those people it brings out the best in! Ugh....what nerve! Glad you kept your cool. :thumbsup2

You are right!!! I have just never had to see it happen to me! lol

Oh my goodness. I just read the bit about your MIL not speaking to Chad or Hollie---what in the WORLD?! What was she so upset about? What a way to damper a trip. :headache:

And that woman in Epcot! Yes Hollie, I agree, why is that lady being so loud and rude??? I love kids bluntness sometimes! Good for you for holding your tongue and being a GOOD example in front of your kids!

Oh yeah...it gets better with that situation!!! Its like this, she can get mad if you don't acknowledge her first thing or if you don't say something to her first. Never ending....lol

ha ha ha There were a few people around us who laughed when Hollie said that. It kind of helped the situation from being downright embarrassing to being funny.

I know, I guess I just didn't stick my foot up close enough to her because really all I like to do is walk around Disney and trip people!! lol

Oh I deal with the public every day too. I have been cussed at, yelled at, called names on the phone. Never in person because they don't want to do that. I have always said I will NOT stay on the phone with someone that is talking ugly to me. I will hang up! But they tell us now that "customer service" we should tell them that we don't like that talk and could they please not use it. Um, what?? Nope! I still hang up!

I think Nemo is such a cute ride too!

We haven't eaten at Coral Reef yet...I wonder if my girls would enjoy seeing all of the aquariums!

Wow hag is right! What in the world??? She apparently didn't get the memo that Disney is the happiest place on earth! YIKES! :scared1:

Looking forward to your World Showcase fun! :thumbsup2

We just love Nemo!! Its so fun!

I bet they would love the aquarium!!!! It is so much fun to watch it!

ha ha I think her memo is way long overdue!!!

I think people are just so miserable in certain things that they take it out on everyone!

What a witch!

Oh yes, my thoughts (along with many, MANY ;) others) exactly!!

Somehow I lost this TR! I got a lot of catching up to do! :surfweb:

LOL!!

WOW, really? I still don't understand why she was so mad? People walk in front of people ALL the time at Disney. There are people EVERYWHERE! Holy ba**s, rude!
Yummy! Grilled chicken salad.

I don't either. I didn't touch her, I didn't make her fall, nothing!
That was my first thought was, "OMG!! She just cussed me in front of everybody!!" ha ha ha Well, it just made her look dumb! :)

Wow I cannot believe she said that to you and around your kids. How pathetic is her life that she has to call some person she doesn't even know that..not once but twice.

Oh I know and I agree! I just wish I had taken her picture as she walked away with the glare. I can still see it!! ha ha

Coral Reef looks fun! It's definitely on my someday list for sure.

Some people just lack class nowadays I think. Who speaks in public, in front of their children like that? Ick. :sad2:

It really is fun! I need to venture out and try something besides the ceasar salad next time!! lol

I agree!! Then people wonder why their kids talk ugly and have behavior like that when they are out in public!

Great update! Sorry about the HAG! Too many people think it is all about them and then are all inappropriate. I'm kind of a hothead as well and stuff like that makes me so mad, I shake!

Aw, thanks girl!!

They sure do! I did start shaking I was so mad!!! But I wasn't gonna blow up in front of Hollie and Hannah. No matter how mad she made me. I was joking with Chad saying, "Um, ya'll go on towards WS. I have to um, use the bathroom. Be back in about 5 minutes!" ha ha

How rude. It never fails to amaze me how much of a bad example some parents set in front of their kids. And we wonder why some kids grow up with no manners.

Sounds like she should be somewhere else for her trip not WDW. No need for that at the world!

Exactly!!! I have said the same thing!

I hope I never see that again!! Whew!!

Went back to the begining and read EVERYTHING!

Way too much to comment on. :rotfl:

I'll just say some people are so miserable. Her calling you that name had more to do with her own misery in life. So let it roll!

Can't wait for more, Just loving it!!!

LOL

I agree! I felt better once we got away from that area where people were still standing there with their mouths open!! lol

Aw, thanks girl!!

Hey Heather! I have noooo idea why it took me so many months to find this, but here I am...finally!!! :thumbsup2

Yay!!! I am glad you finally found me girl!!

I'm still way back on page 16 -- but I did read the last couple of pages because after reading other people's comments, I was curious as to what someone said to you!!! Girl, it was very tough!!

Oh no!!! Well, if you can get it back I would try too. It was our first time for dinner there and we loved it. It will definitely be in our plans again

aw, thanks girl!!! They sure do grow up fast. I mean, Hannah turns 1 next week!! Yikes!!!
MIL ha ha Oh yeah, about that.....pictures can be a little off sometimes. You will hear about that later in the trip. But she is more all about Hannah thans he is Hollie. Its sad, but that is how she is. We used to be close, but not so much anymore.

I also wanted to tell you that after I read about your make-up incident on facebook, I immediately packed my carry-on bag for September -- and of course put my make-up in it!!!!! :lmao:

I will catch up tomorrow with the rest of your report!!! Loved all the pics so far!!!!

ha ha ha Awww, that is a smart move!!! It will be one I have to do from now on when I go out of town!

Hey ya'll!! I am trying to get another update in as I type. Its been a super busy couple of weeks. We have Hannah's first birthday party tomorrow so I am in party mode right now!! Thanks for being patient with me! ;)

So, the hag kept walking and I seriously just stood there for like 10 seconds with my mouth wide open like, “Did that really just happen??” Well, I was not gonna let it ruin my day! So, I grabbed Hollie by the hand and told everyone, “Okay, lets head to World Showcase!” Of course, MIL was still like, “There ain’t nobody going to talk to me like that!” Okay, well if you want to get in a fight at Disney with your grandkids standing there watching, that is all on you! Me, no!!
So, we head towards WS. First stop…Mexico!!! I just love this pavilion. It’s one of my favorites!
We saw this little fella so Hollie had to get her picture made with him! But right as we got up to him, Hollie had spilled her drink in her lap. She just loves to take the tops off of her drinks..ugh! lol
IMG_1412.jpg

Next we headed to Norway which is another favorite of mine!
IMG_1414.jpg

We went to get in line for this little ride
IMG_1415.jpg

Now as we were in line. There was a couple in front of us with a little girl. Well, Hollie never meets a stranger. So she started talking to this little girl and before we knew it….they were inseparable! So cute! Of course her mom and I both told them to pose and we would take their picture!
IMG_1416.jpg

We walked a ways and look who we saw!!

IMG_1417.jpg

IMG_1418.jpg

IMG_1419.jpg

IMG_1423.jpg

IMG_1424.jpg

We came to America and saw a marching band. We have never saw this before in all the years we have been here!
IMG_1426.jpg

IMG_1427.jpg

We walked through WS some more and I took more pictures!
IMG_1428.jpg

Thought that was really pretty!!

Then we finally made it to France!!! I could hear the slushy calling my name!!! So, my sweet husband went and got me one. I told him to ask if they could put it in a regular cup instead of the little martini type one they usually put it in. So as he is in line, he says to me as I am standing to the side with Hannah
“Hey Heather, do you want a double? She said if you get a double it will fit better in the cup instead of the regular amount.”

By this time I had no clue what cup they were going to give to me. So I told him, “Sure, go ahead!”
This is what he came walking back with
IMG_1429.jpg

Now this is where something funny happens! He hands it to me and says, “You better drink that whole thing!!!” I start laughing and said to him, “Uh duh! You don’t waste these precious beauties!” Then he says, “No!! That thing was $19 bucks!!” YIKES!!! Ha ha Needless to say, I drank the entire drink! It was as always, yummy!
Hollie saw Marie so we got in line for her
IMG_1430.jpg

IMG_1431.jpg

IMG_1432.jpg

IMG_1433.jpg

We walked towards United Kingdom and could hear British Invasion playing. I just loved them! Its sad they aren’t there anymore
IMG_1436.jpg

Hollie saw hop scotch on the ground so she wanted to have some fun with that
IMG_1438.jpg

IMG_1439.jpg

Continued in next post

She got some air with this one!! Lol
IMG_1440.jpg

IMG_1441.jpg

We decided we wanted to head back and ride Soarin again, so off we went!
I took some pictures up a walkway that we went down. There was a duck in the water and he would go under water for a while and then pop back up. Hollie thought it was funny!
IMG_1447.jpg

IMG_1449.jpg

IMG_1453.jpg

My poor little chapped faced baby! Lol
IMG_1450.jpg

IMG_1451.jpg

IMG_1452.jpg

IMG_1455.jpg

We made it to Soarin and here is my sweet girl going in line
IMG_1458.jpg

IMG_1459.jpg

IMG_1460.jpg

To say she was excited is an understatement!! Lol
We got off and decided it was about time to leave so we went and road SpaceShip Earth a couple of more times.
IMG_1463.jpg

So coming up next is our Magic Kingdom day, which also happens to be our last full day at Disney :(
It also is the day the “meltdown” happens!!
Now remember, we actually were at Epcot our 2nd full day down there so I might just fix the links in the beginning to help with that!

I love how excited Hollie is to go on Soarin, too cute!

Your pics of World Showcase are awesome, especially the ones of Norway!

Can't wait to hear about the MK:goodvibes
