Hags, Meltdowns, no makeup..OH MY!!!! 9/20 NEW PTR LINK POSTED

Well, I was about to do an update but it says photobucket is down for maintenance. Nice!! So I will try again later this afternoon!

I noticed that it was having issues this morning.

Hope your mom is feeling much better now. I know that was pretty chaotic for all of you.

Oh Heather I just read about your mom now :( I'm sorry she had to go through all of that and hope she is feeling much better!

AW, thanks girl!! She is feeling much better! :)

I noticed that it was having issues this morning.

It drives me crazy when they have issues!! lol I know I will be doing an update in the morning.

She is!! She went to the doctor to get her staples out and he said she can go back to work Monday! :)

Yay, finally doing our Universal day. I am gonna tell you beforehand, I didn’t take near as many pictures as I would have liked too. I didn’t take my good, good camera. Only my little handy Kodak one. I was glad for that once we got to the park……

We arrived at Universal and Chad’s mom called her friend who works for US. She was giving us some of her passes that she had, which was really nice of her! We parked the car at the parking deck. It was very windy that day. Once we got everything unloaded, we headed towards the escalators to go up to the next level where all the “people mover belts” are. LOL Hollie loves those! Well, we got up there and it was pooring rain!!!! I mean, it was like the skies opened up and dumped it out!!! We had to stay behind the elevator’s because the rain was pushing inside the parking deck. We literally stood there for about 25 minutes. When it finally got to a drizzle we headed towards City Walk. Well once we got there it was drizzling a little harder. So we decided to go into Cinnabon to get a cinnamon roll and wait and see how the weather was gonna do. Here is sweet Hollie digging in to her cinnamon bun!

We stayed in there for about 15 minutes to where the rain finally let up a little bit. Hollie wanted her picture taken here:

Here is sweet Hannah on the way towards Universal Studios:

I took this picture of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter as we were walking in City Walk! Looks really cool!

My little poser girl!

100_3947.jpg

We met her friend and she actually gave us a 1 day 2 park pass. Which meant that if we got done with US, we could just zip on over to UI which has…Harry Potter!!!! I really didn’t want to go over there since my mom is taking me, Hollie, my sister and niece in October for us to see it. So we went on inside to Universal. First ride we rode was E.T. Hollie loves it!
100_3950.jpg

It was a little cold and there really wasn’t much Hannah could do there besides Jimmy Neutron and take pictures with characters. So his mom said she wanted to go out to Citywalk and walk around and go in the stores. She wanted to take Hannah with her so we could ride rides with Hollie.
So we went and rode Men in Black. No pictures there! Then we went to Jaws and this is where it got interesting! Hollie literally loves to watch the Jaws movies. I would never had let her seen them, but she actually saw it when we were in the hospital when I had Hannah. My mom and dad came to our house the day we were leaving so they could clean the house for us and get it ready for us to come home. Well, Hollie was sitting on the couch watching tv and apparently Chad had set our DVR to auto tune to the movie channels whenever Jaws came on. Well, it went to it. I by no means let Hollie watch scary movies at all! But she is so obsessed with sharks after seeing that! Its too funny! She says she will never get in the ocean again because of them but she thinks they are cool! Lol
So we get to Jaws and she had talked about how excited she was to ride it again (she rode it in 2009 and got upset on it!) and that this time she wasn’t going to get upset because she knows it’s a mechanical shark and its not real. OKAY!!!!! She refused to get on it! She thought of every excuse and here they are in no order at all:
“Um, I just want to get an ice cream. I am starving!!!! Do you want your daughter to starve to death!”
“I don’t want too! What if I cry again? What if they changed out the mechanical shark with a real one!”
“Please don’t make me ride it! I have to go to the bathroom and I would not want to pee in my pants if I started screaming!”
“I think I would rather go back and shoot Alien’s!”
“NO!!! I am not going on that!!!! Its too cold, its been raining and what if we get splashed!!! We might get a cold.”
Yes…..I heard all of the above and then some from her while we stood outside the entrance. My silly, dramatic girl!
100_3951.jpg

After that, we went to ride Twister, again no pictures. Then we went to ride The Mummy!! It got interesting again! Lol She loved the scream machine at Six Flags and I told her this was a roller coaster but not big like scream machine. But, it did have animatronics inside and they would move and talk. I told her they WERE NOT REAL and that it was fun to watch it.
So we get on…then the trouble starts! We come into the room where the mummy guards jump up on each side of you and are squealing at you! She freaked!!!!! She started to do her “I am scared and I don’t care how loud I get or what I look like” cry. I looked at her and assured her that they were not real. They were basically robotic. Then it moved us in another room. But, when we came to the part where it looks and feels like those bugs are crawling in your seat…she freaked again!!! Finally the roller coaster part started. She liked that, just not the other stuff. She was mad when we got off!! She said that she “Would never, ever ride that darn ride again and that it was awful!! Those mummies were ugly and they screamed loud at her and her hurt her ears!” HAHAHA yes….I laughed!
So we took her to meet some characters. There were several of me with Scooby and a few others but Miss priss got my camera while we were eating lunch and accidentally deleted them

Next we went to one of Hollie’s favorites. The Woody Woodpecker roller coaster. I bet she rode that 15 times!

HAHAHAHA Totally forgot to post this picture. After we got off the Mummy, I asked Hollie what she thought of it and this is what I got:

100_3978.jpg

So after riding that 15 times, it was time for lunch. We met up with MIL and Hannah. I didn’t take any pictures there but we ate at the Nascar Grille. We really like it there. After we ate lunch, we went back to US to ride a few more things. We also went to meet one of Hollie’s favorites of all time:

100_3983.jpg

We took a bathroom break and found the coolest hand dryers ever!! Oh my gosh, you just stick your hands inside and pull out slowly. It literally blows out wind so hard you see your skin move back and forth. Hollie washed her hands 6 times!! Ha ha

100_3984.jpg

Then we decided since the crowds were super low that day. I am talking like no wait for anything. We decided to walk on over to UI and see how the crowds are there. I took some pictures on our walk over.

100_3986.jpg

We walked inside and saw MIL and Hannah sitting in a coffee shop. It had gotten pretty cool so she said she would wait there while we walked around and rode things.

Finally…we were getting closer and closer. I literally had goosebumps I was so excited!!! I can not wait to go back in October to be able to spend more time at this section. We made it to……

We were so excited!!!! We got in line for Harry Potter’s Forbidden Journey. You of course, can’t take any carry on’s or cameras. So we locked my camera up in a locker. Oh my goodness, the castle was amazing!! We came into a room where there was like a holographic images of Hermione, Harry, and Ron. They were telling you about the journey you are about to take. I will be honest, I didn’t listen because I was too excited so I kept moving along! Lol
Then you were in Dumbledore’s office and he was talking to you! So cool!

We made it to the ride. It is amazing!!! It almost reminds me of the Spider Man ride/Mummy where you are on a ride but it literally takes you to different rooms along with the movie parts on a screen in front of you then it will pop into another room where there are sets like in POTC ride. So cool! Chad and I loved it…Hollie not so much!! She did not like the dementors. They were on the movie screen part but in the next room, they actually had them flying up to you in your face. She freaked!!!! I don’t even hardly remember some of the ride after that because I was too busy trying to reach my arm to her to calm her down. I was yelling for Chad to see if he could see her and he never heard me. The seats are basically like on Tower of Terror. You sit in a row of 4. But there are barriers between you so you can’t see each other, only your legs sticking out. We got off and looked at the picture. I wish I had bought it. You see me, reaching my arm over to Hollie’s side and its obvious I am talking trying to calm her down. You see Hollie with her mouth wide open from a terrified scream and tears going down her face. Then you see Chad…..whose mouth is wide open from being in awe of the ride!! LOL It was hilarious!!!!
Next we rode Flight of the Hippogriff. She loved it! We rode it 12 times!

After we rode that it was time for some Butterbeer!! Yum!! It was very, very sweet. Almost like a mixture of cream soda, butterscotch, and root beer.
100_4004.jpg

We went to Suess Landing and rode the Trolley in the Sky train

Next we went to ride Spider Man. You could tell they were getting ready for some big thing going on because they had caterer’s all lined up in the street going towards SM. I think by this time it was 6:00 pm and they were closing at 7 that night.
Again, Hollie did NOT LIKE Spider Man! She said it shook her too much! Now, that child has been on way worse things that shake you..ahem, scream machine! I think she doesn’t like the 3D along with the bad guys spitting water at you and also jumping on your car in Spider Man! Lol

After that we called it a day! We were tired and ready for our next day. Coming up, our 1900 Park Fare breakfast and Let’s do the Hula!!!

Now, thats some updating right there folks!! LOL and all before the storms roll in this afternoon!
I also updated my links in the 2nd post on here in case that is easier for everyone! :)

Oh wow! You had a really great day, full of lots of fun! The story about Hollie watching Jaws was hilarious. I'm sorry some of the rides scared her but what a big girl for giving them a try anyway! :)

Looks like you guys had a great day!!!!

We have those hand dryer's in our mall...my daughter thinks they're amazing! :lmao:

I laughed so hard when I read Holly's excuses for not wanting to go on the jaw ride, Too funny!!!

WWOHP looks fantastic and how fun that you guys were able to experience it after all

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

I think you should update like this everytime.:rotfl: That's some serious updating. We haven't been to Universal in several years but alway have so much fun. Everytime I make plans to go, the Mouse always seems to reel me back in.

What a productive day at Universal! I was just reading your Harry Potter update to Chris and we're so upset that we're not going there in June, we want to check it out soooo badly! It's just too much money for us right now to go for just one day. :sad2:

Hollie is sooo funny! She reminds me of me at that age because I was scared of EVERY RIDE...at least she'll go on most of them and then just get scared while on it haha I would just refuse and throw a fit to not have to go on at all!

wowser, that was an update worth the wait Heather! you got so much done! :goodvibes poor Hollie was maybe just having a bit of a nervous day...my little cousin closed her eyes on every 3d ride we went into from start to finish and we had to just poke her when it was over, it didn't matter how much she got teased or encouraged to give it a try she was determined! so at least Hollie is giving them all a good shot!:rotfl:

Love your stroller, all co-ordinated and cute!:cutie:

Hope your mum is feeling better! I can;'t believe you live in an area with tornadoes! wow! :scared1:

Great updates, Heather! Did you get through the storms okay last night? They missed us completely. The two that were really bad -- one went north of us and one went south of us. I felt very lucky!

Hollie cracked me up with all of her excuses to not ride Jaws! She is a very creative girl! :rotfl:

Poor thing getting scared of the Dementers, though. :( I love all your pictures from the Harry Potter land! So very cool! I can't wait to go one day and try the butterbeer!

Oh my goodness, I was laughing so hard at what Hollie was saying in order to not go on Jaws :lmao: She is so cute! She is also a LOT braver than I would have been at that age!

Harry Potter looks amazing. It is the one thing that might get my boyfriend down to Orlando. He's never been to Disney, wants to go to Disney, but is way more interested in WWOHP.

Can't wait for the 1900 PF update, we did it last year for dinner but I really want to try the breakfast sometime!

That was a great update! :thumbsup2

Very nice of MIL to keep Hannah entertained so you could go on the rides. :)

Looks like you had so much fun, except the parts where Hollie was scared...poor girl.

Love all the character pics!

We need to go back to Universal someday.
Lexi was just 4yrs old the last time we were there.
She hasn't ever gone on all the rides like Hollie has.

What a bonus it was to get passes for IOA too!

I don't know anything about Harry Potter but it does look interesting!
I would need to do my homework before I went there to get the true experience.

Great update Heather!:thumbsup2

Oooh, Universal looks amazing! The characters look like such fun! We've never been.

Looks like Hollie loved The Mummy then, huh?;) Poor baby, she was giving it a thumbs down!

I soooo want to go to the WWoHP! My 3DD's and I are big fans and would probably squeal like a bunch of pigs when we see it! It looks so real, just like the movies. The butterbeer looks delish too.

What a great day for you all, despite the torrential down pour!:goodvibes

You have such a beautiful family. I have a 7 month old little boy, and I can't wait to bring him back to Disney (he's been once in my belly and once at 6 weeks!) Have you ever taken Hollie when she was a toddler?

Wow! You got alot done in one rainy day. :thumbsup2 Little Miss Holly is so cute. She braved alot of big rides!:thumbsup2 Her excuses are so cute!
