Hagrid's during IoA early entry-- wait times?

We were there last week (weekdays). We made no effort to get to Hagrid’s early. Posted time on Monday morning was 60 minutes, actual wait time was only 20 minutes (it takes almost 15 minutes just to walk the queue).

We tried the same tactic on Tuesday, posted time was also 60 minutes again. Queue came to a grinding halt just out side the castle for 30 minutes (ride shutdown?). Once the line started moving again it went quick. Total wait time ended up being 60 minutes.

Lines were considerably longer as the day wore on.

Last Wednesday we got to the park at opening (early entry hotel guests) and walked - strolled really! No running! to the ride along with everyone else. I'm not sure we really came to a stop until we got to the top of the express pass line where you get on the ride. It was a real quick walk...thought the castle from the outside was pretty neat.
My stomach is still doing flip flops though. One & Done for me -

I did early entry on a Wednesday also recently and the courtyard was already filled with people at 8:30 am. Early entry that day was 9 am. They opened at 8:50 am and everyone headed to Hagrids. Like the poster above noted it was a slow paced walked to get on the coaster.

There were no hold ups for me the morning I rode it. It is a wicked coaster and a fun one to ride.

Worth a early entry visit for me to get on it.

Weekends are a lot busier. So visit during the week if you can.

We’re here this morning (10/14 Tuesday). Gates opened at 8:45. We scanned in at 8:50.

We are slow walkers. The queue went behind the fountain into the old stunt show theater. TMs at the lockers were quoting an hour wait. We pretty much walked straight through the queue. If you stopped, it was only for 20 seconds or so.

I put my phone in the locker, so I don’t have good times, but we were off the ride and got our bag back at 9:30.

tldr: It took us 40 minutes from entering the park until we were off the ride with our bag in hand.
