Ok, so I have had my Nikon D5100 for about two weeks now and getting use to some of the features and methods of shooting. Well take a look don't be too hard on me. I haven't done a lot of exploring with it yet.

Open to suggestions and tips, since I will end up using this for vacations at WDW, Seaworld, and more.

Here are some:

Scenic Stop in Blue Ridge Mountains. In Virginia, near where Interstates 81 and 64 come together.

Well, Venomhatch, I've had my d5100 a couple weeks longer than you and I think I'm probably an expert on it because I've taken like almost 100 pictures on it. As to suggestions and tips on your photos, let's take each one on a case-by-case basis:

Photo one: Nice fence. I've seen a lot of fences in my day and that's definitely one of them. You can even see where it attaches to the ground like a good fence should.

Photo two: Space monster. very cool. I've never been to space but if that's what's out there I won't be going anytime soon.

Photo three: Dog with a moldy tongue. You might want to get that tongue looked at.

Photo four: Same dog, possibly in attack stance. Scary, considering it's moldy tongue and all.

Photo five: It's a bird, it's a plane... I can't tell what that thing is.

Photo six: Letter H floating in a black sky. I like it. Makes me think of things that start with H. Hamburgers, hotdogs, ham.

Photo seven: Giant flower. Where do they grow that bug? That must be some kinda world record. Call Guinness, STAT!

Photo eight: Sphinx cat. I love these guys, they don't look anything like a cat should.

Total grade for these photos: A+ Nice work, Venomhatch.

Great first shots! Clear, crisp, and fun to look at. Kudos!
