had a nightmare last night

I thought you were going to say you went on vacation and forgot about the contests. ;)

Photo nightmares. Don't think I've had one yet. Those I live during the daytime. :rotfl:

I had one last night too. We have stocking holders on our television cabinet with garland and our stocking hanging. Last night one of the cats knocked a metal holder off and it broke in half. After taking pictures of the tree l put my camera on top of the TV cabinet (the thing is huge, probably weighs at least 5-600 pounds) and left it there. I had a dream that I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to a huge crashing sound, only to see my beloved camera smashed on the floor with my two crazy dogs starting to chew it.

Luckily, DH had moved the camera for me when he realized I fell asleep and hadn't put it away....but I'll be sure not to make that mistake again for fear of my nightmare coming true! :thumbsup2

HAHAHA - the TV cabinet is huge, not the camera...that's actually pretty dinky compared to what a lot of people on this board have. :rotfl:

:rotfl: True. I had a D90 in my hands today. That thing is enormous compared to my Oly E510

I occasionally have a nightmare that we are on vacation with the camera and the shutter won't click- I press and press and it won't take a picture:scared1:

There is a local lake where I enjoy taking bird photos especially of the hawks. I had dream where the hawk was in our bedroom and he was mad!? I need a new hobby or just take photos of different things.

I went on vacation and forgot to bring my camera.

You may laugh, but this almost happened to me. When I was packing the car for our three week trip to Canada, I left the camera gear for last. Then I got busy with some other things and left it in the house. We drove to the airport without it and didn't have enough time to go all the way home (45 minutes) and back before we needed to board our flight. I had to call a neighbor to go into our house, grab the gear, and take it to the airport.

I left my camera in the hotel room one day while in the Vancouver area hiking- I had it-then went back in to get something, I put it on the desk. Got to the trailhead- I had my 70-300mm lens and no body to put it on. I did have my p&s in my backpack, luckily. Less weight to carry was the 1 plus since it ended up being a lot longer/harder hike than planned.

I've mentioned this a few times (including another thread just a couple minutes ago!), but I've had recurring dreams for at least 15+ years about going to WDW and leaving my camera behind. (They probably started around when I got my K1000!) There are countless variations on it, and recently variations include forgetting a specific lens or two, forgetting a tripod, remember accessories but forgetting the camera body, leaving it on some enormous industrial indoor backstage train at Animal Kingdom, and even recently one where I left it behind but my wonderful wife grabbed it, saving the day. Gotta love her. :teeth:
