Hi,
I felt the parks were quite well attended while I was there. MK in particular was extremely busy on Monday 24th and fastpass was a necessity. I did notice that Epcot was fairly empty any time I attended there. As for security, there were the usual security staff searching bags etc. Seemed friendly and reasonably thorough. Didn't feel at all concerned about the security. A CM researcher actually asked us about a number of things, but notably asked us if we felt a bag search was necessary at WDW to which we answered yes. We felt that MK closed a little too early and Spectro had been cut back so we had one chance to view it while there and it was quite a job trying to see it, then dash over to Epcot for Illuminations - still managed it, but then missed our PS at Concourse Steakhouse for 10 pm due to poor monorail service. Was quite annoyed at the CM's attitude about that, but opted not to take it further.
WL concierge exceeded our expectations. We had a nice room facing the villas and just down the corridor from the presidential suite would you believe! We had breakfast there most mornings. They offered croissants, muffins, pastries, coffee, tea, orange and apple juice etc etc. It was never busy. I actually really liked sitting on the balcony area overlooking the lobby as we don't normally get time to enjoy the lobby when not in concierge - just never have the time - but it was very relaxing to and nice to see it from a high vantage point. The tables are low on one side of the balcony and higher on the other and they are spread out so you are not near other guests, so there is a degree of privacy. The staff are generally very helpful and top up the offerings frequently. There were cookies and gummy worms etc at lunchtime and a hot offering in the early evening from one of the restaurants. Later on was dessert, wine, cheese and cordials. They had cans out for taking during the afternoon.
One of the other benefits was that our purchases were delivered direct to the room as opposed to the gift shop.
We had the most amazing maid, Livis, who did a whole lot of towel animals - even ones hanging from the fan and a little angel above the bed. And she knew that we were three adults!
Turndown left our radio on and some choccies on the bed. Overall we felt we were in the lap of luxury. It was great, and well worth the upgrade price. We would definitely consider doing it again.
Any more details, I'd be happy to provide!
