H&V Hero's ? lunch, maybe breakfast too, starts March 25, 2006

Maybe they are planning to start lunch service at H&V on March 25 and it has nothing to do with characters. They don't serve lunch now, do they? The guide books list it as dinner only. So it is possible that they are going to implement lunch at the end of March and phase into doing a character breakfast in April. There aren't many TS choices at MGM for lunch, so maybe they are adding lunch as part of the general re-structuring of H&V. I guess we'll see!

Personally, I think a character LUNCH is long overdue! There are SO many breakfasts. Believe me, I like a character breakfast, in the park, before the doors open, as much as anyone else, but I don't do that every day.

I think this gives people a nice option. Hit the park and then have a sitdown meal for lunch to break up your day. Like I said, there aren't that many sitdown places in the whole of WDW that is also a character meal. This fills a gap that really needed to be filled.

yes. I agree. When we do character breakfasts, we also schedule for the LAST possible time. I can't get my family up and to the parks for a character meal prior to park opening. I tried it once and it made everyone miserable, so I don't try anymore to set myself up for the dissapointment. We usually eat at 10:40 - 11 am for breakfast and it kind of serves as our lunch for the day. We just eat an early dinner. But if there was a character lunch, this would solve our problems.

Plus, now that they have the EMH at night, my family is happy!!

Very good! Not complaining in the least bit, but does anyone else find it curious that they have Woody and Buzz, but not Jessie? Though I suppose if you think about it that would be too many Toy Story characters unbalancing The Incredibles characters that will be there.

I would like lunch better too.. esp. at MGM, where if you wait too long you won't get on the "big two"--Rock and Roller and Tower of Terror.
I have an idea....why don't all 70,000 of us just keep this to ourselves....and hopefully "word-of-mouth" won't get too crazy for a while so we will have the place to ourselves for a few months??
I can say DS (8) will be beside himself with glee.

We spoke to someone at Sci Fi last week who told us it was a boy character breakfast starting April 1st with Buzz, Woody, Mr Incredible and Frozone.

I'm excited to see they're going to have characters from The Incredibles there. Hope they put Frozone in - my younger son's favorite. This sounds like an awesome character meal - breakfast, lunch or both - I'll book it!

Just a little "FYI" for everyone subscribed to this thread - I started an update thread about this meal titled "MGM Character Meal Update Thread". I will be trying to post daily about my success (or lack of) with the opening of ADR's for this. If/when I am successful I will change the title to say "CALL NOW"! Let's hope that happens soon!
