So I'm trying to pick the best time for Hollywood and Vine breakfast. Should we do 8:30 or 9:30? DS (8) and DD (6) would like to sign up for the Jedi Training so I know we have to do that first thing but I also know they have to be there. My concern with the 8:30 ressie is DH, DS & DD would have to leave at 9 so they can be there with the rope droppers which would leave me and DD (4) at the table (other DD may miss the characters). But if we do the 9:30 and sign up for training before, does that put us too far behind schedule to make the most out of our day?? I assume a 9:30 ressie will take longer since more of a crowd will have built at the restaurant? Then by the time we get out of there it may be close to 11am. :confused3

If it matters, we also have a Mama Melrose Fantasmic ressie that same day at 4:30. I can't believe that amount of obsessing I'm doing on all these details!:crazy2:

I'm curious about the same thing. Although we have 8:05am reservations so I think we'll be ok (aside from my family wanting to kill me for making them get up so early!). This is the ONE and ONLY thing my boys want to do at Disney so it has to happen even if my husband is left at H&V by himself! :rotfl2:

I'm curious to hear what others say about this as well. It's been my experience with other character meals that you wait longer after you check in later in the morning but I have never been to H&V. We have an 8 a.m. there on our next trip and I am hoping we will be through the characters by then so the dads can exit with the boys to sign up for Jedi Academy.

We haven't done this at HS, but always make CP pre-park open ADR for MK. Based on my experience there, I'd go with the 8:30am ADR. MK has let us in as early as 7:45am for an 8:20am ADR. We were seated by 8:10am and finished eating by 8:50am. That was the latest ADR we've had at CP and we're always done before 9:00am rope drop. I think everyone is so excited to get going, breakfast gets eaten quickly. ;)
