H-E-L-P!! Need QUICK responses!! Best Ft W site...

We are thinking about renting an RV and making an impromtu trip to WDW in 2 weeks. I made ressies for"Preferred" campsite, which I'm told not only has the "full" hook-up amenities, but is closer to the bus depot. The CM asked me if I'd like to request a specific area, but I am not familiar with their camp sites. Can anyone recommend anything in particular? Also: any campers out there that would care to share their experiences??? (we're "new" to the whole 'camping thing'!!)

Check out the camping board. I love FW but have only stayed in 1500 loop which is a basic loop with no cable sewer etc..

Hi kimmar067,
Loop 100 is the best location but I must warn you that my BIL made ressies and requested this location 7 months in advance - and didn't get it. He made the mistake of checking in late in the afternoon and it was first come first serve. I tried to tell him the location was a request and not guaranteed but he paid no attention. But good luck to you - just show up early.

...if I may, might I ask you why Loop 100 is a good spot? (what is loop 100, and are there any 2nd choices??) We will be trying to check in as soon as we arrive....leaving on Friday afternoon, with a 19 hr. trip, and we hope to get there around noon the next day .

I didn't realize there was a "camping" board..."I'll check it out!

Here is a web-site I found that is all about Ft. W. It includes photos and a map of the resort. The map is kinda hard to read.

I like the 600-700 loop. Make sure what ever loop you choose ask for an inside loop. Less noise from the buses.
The reason why I like these loops:
Can walk to the boat launch
Can walk to the pool and camp fire program
Bus stop is right there too.
