Now I'm all for individuality, but that name is just plain STUPID... I think Apple Blythe sounds like a martini, or a stripper. Poor kid, like someone already said-at least she'll be rich.

What ever happened to good old fashioned names like Moon Unit, or Dweezle?

I'm not nearly as annoyed with the name Apple as I am annoyed with Gywneth Paltrow. For some reason, she is one celebrity that I just have this bizarre dislike for -- can't really put my finger on why......

My Ex-husband's aunt's name was Dorcus Pauline. His mother was Olive Pearl.

Now we have Apple - named after a fruit and an old computer

Dorcas is a biblical name. Dorcas was a woman who was very wise, and well thought of. She had died, and was brought back to life. If I remember right, Dorcas meant wisdom or something like that.

Believe it or not, my hairdresser knows an Apple. I asked if she hated her name and she said she loved it.

I honestly didn't think anyone else had ever named their child Apple, but Gwyneth was not the first.

A good friend of mine is named Dorcas and her mother took it from the Bible.
