Let's talk about the gyms/pools/spas at all of the resorts!

DH and I have recently discovered the joys of using the gym/pool/locker room at our local casino for about $10 a person. What a nice, cheap treat and a way to feel pampered without actually spending all that $$ on spa treatments!!

We can spend a good 2-3 hours between working out, swimming, relaxing in the hot tub, then using the steam room/sauna in the locker rooms... we love it! And my DH is usually a very no frills, manly man kinda guy.. but after spending 2 hours enjoying all of these amenities at our local casino... DH said to me "from now on, when we stay in a hotel we are going to pay a bit extra to have a stay at a nice place like this!".... that was music to my ears I tell ya!!! :cloud9: :yay:

so while I used to do the WDW commando style .. now that I'm a bit older I'm looking at WDW in a completely different way and want to know all about the gyms/pools/spas of WDW!

please post your experiences, thoughts, reviews, and pictures if you have them!!! :thumbsup2

You are limited to the pool at your resort or your sister resort. For example, if you are staying at POR, you can also swim at POFQ. Likewise with the All Stars pools. Also YC/BC/BCV all share pools. Ft Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge are not sister resorts and do not share pools, but they do share the word "Wilderness" in their names.

Pools at Moderates and Deluxes have slides, lifeguards and lots of theming. The value resorts also have theming (might have lifeguards), but no slides. Many of the resorts also have leisure pools with no slides and no lifeguards.

Both SSR and GF have very nice spas that you are able to use their services for a fee. CSR, WL/VWL, BWI/BWV also have a smaller spa/gym that you can use for a fee if you are not staying there.

The gym at CSR is now free to that resort guests and is the only moderate to have a gym/spa.
