Have you ever had one before? Can you share your experience with me? I just called my local one and the cost is $229 for 1 1/2. I want to see if it's worth it considering I am going to be spending the same amount if I had it at home.

I haven't done one of their parties but we've been to several. I thought they were great and the kids had so much fun. The Gymboree staff do group activities with music, dance, parachute etc and then allow some supervised free play on different stations like a slide, tumbling mats, balance beam. I think the class lasts about an hour and the rest of the time is for refreshments. I think you have to bring those but depending on the time of day you could just do juice and cake.

I had my dd 2nd birthday there. She was enrolled in the play class and she loved it there. I requested her teacher. I can`t remember how much it was. But I only had juice and I brought mine own cupcakes. We were having another party at home for family and friends after the gymboree party. So that is where we had the food.
It was lot of fun for the kids. I also had a character come during the party.

If they have the standard Gymboree play equipment, kids will have to be dragged out of there kicking and screaming.

If you do it, eat first because they will not want to leave the playground to go eat cake.

We just had my daughter's 2nd birthday there on Sunday and she loved it (and so did her friends). Ours cost $350 for an hour and 45 minutes so I think yours is a steal! They supplied the juice, cups, plates, utensils, and napkins, and I brought the food, cupcakes, and water (cause my daughter won't drink any juice for some reason). Our party was from 1:30-3:15 but the teacher didn't end it till 3:30 cause some kids got there late (which she didn't have to do, she was just nice). We got some pizzas and brought cup up fruit, cheese cubes, and crackers (and the cupcakes, which I made to look like clowns to go with the Gymbo theme) and the kids all loved the food and it was cheap and easy to do.
