Gymboree-Beyond Cute!

I was an assistant manager at Gymboree (in the Glendale Galleria in CA) when my son was about 4 months old. He's 11 now so it was awhile ago. We had a ton of Gymboree clothes because I got a discount of 50% off. :teeth:

Once I stopped working there I stopped liking their clothes too. I haven't been there in awhile but back then some of their outfits were a bit clownish. You had to be careful what you picked out. I think they are better now, but now I can't afford them so it doesn't matter.

Since you guys are "pros", are the socks worth the prices? I'm just curious, I've bought her a few matching ones during the sales but I'm always surprised to see the socks going for $5 a pair or something on Ebay.

Do you find in general the clothes run big or small? Or both? ;)

IMO, the novelty socks colors hold well, but they fuzz up pretty quickly. Since that is only on the bottoms of the feet, though, I usually got them anyway. Now I stick with the matching colors of their regular socks instead, though. Those have held up better for me, and stay on the kids feet well.

About the sizing, I have always found that it runs bigger than other stores. When I worked there (how do you think I built up such a wardrobe for the kids?!) I warned people that what sizes fit the kids in other stores might not fit the same from our store. Rosalia, for example, turned 3 this summer and potty trained. So now the 18-24 month clothes are just slightly too small (no diaper weighing them down??) My kids are small-ish, though.
