Gwyneth Paltrow has a baby boy...

Yay! Congrats to her. I also didn't realize she was due this soon it seems like she hasn't been pregnant nearly that long or at least not that we knew off she only confirmed it back in January of course there was speculation months before that.

You know why we didn't realize she was due this soon? Because she didn't seem to make the same public spectacle of her most recent pregancy that many celebrities do. Wasn't she pregnant like 1/4 the time as Katie Holmes??

Because Gwyneth's (sp?) husband wasn't out to prove his virility?

I heard they're naming him Orange. But then again, they wouldn't want to be accused of comparing apples and oranges. That joke was so dumb it doesn't even deserve a response. I should be arrested by the corny police.

Reminds me of the knock knock joke with the punch line saying,

"orange ya glad I didn't say banana"! :sunny:

On Chicago radio this morning, the newsman said it was going to be Watermelon or Kiwi. Kiwi Paltrow-Martin. Has a ring to it, don't ya think?!?!

With all of her rich friends, couldn't somebody have given her a copy of a baby name book?

I like the names Apple and Moses better than some of the names "regular" people (even here on the DIS) name their kids. I won't name those names, though. No reason to make anyone feel picked on.

OMG, they named the child Moses??? Do they not know that children grow up into their names??? I'm afraid to know  What were they thinking???

I agree. I actually like the name Apple. Moses, not so much, but I'm just not one who peefers biblical names.

I totally agree with you.

Totally.

And it cracks me up how affronted people were about Apple, when a mere thirty or so years ago people would have been shocked SHOCKED at the thought of naming a baby girl Madison, for instance. I mean, the surname of a president and street in NY? But it became fashionable and popular and therefore, acceptable.

hasn't Katie Holmes been prego since June of last year?

Gweny did a good job of hiding the first 4-5 months. :) or is she early??
in US mag last month, she didn't look THAT big yet.

Wow, five people in a row quoted me AND agreed :goodvibes.

Okay. . .If you insist, I'll name one:

Bertha :teeth:

No - I really don't want anyone's feelings hurt, and I know there are people here with kids named somewhat common names that I would choose "Apple" or "Moses" over any day.

(I'm sorry if I just offended anyone here named or with a child or relative named "Bertha" :bitelip: .)

The Tabloids were saying that Katie was pregnant last June. The "official" announcement (and couch jumping) wasn't until October, but she looked very pregnant by then.

I used to like Tom Cruise until the pods came and inhabited his body.

Couldn't agree more. I am soooo over trendy names, uneeekleee spelled names, boys' names for girls, many others.
