for anyone who has any ideas, i'm getting married in disney this december and i need some ideas about what to do for a 'guys day out'. There will be approximately 8 guys, and we need something to do...got any ideas for disney the guys way? a few things to note is that only 3 of us golf so that's not an option, but we all like sports. I don't think everyone likes going to the parks either so if any of you know of things to do around the orlando/kissimmee area that would be great! thanks for the help

Disney has the Wide World of sports complex. When are you going? You could see the Atlanta Brave's practice depending on when you go.I think they practice there.

Umm there is also an indy speedway too in disney

Ok I'm a bit dumb,You will be there in Dec. I just reread your post.Sorry.

Darn! I was just going to say the Richard Petty Experience would totally be a guy event! I tried to get my husband and our FSIL to go when we went to WDW in January, but they didn't find the time...

If I was a guy, that's what I would do!

And if any of you are into gaming, there is the interactive Disney place at downtown Disney, can't remember the name, but you can design on a computer your own roller coaster or pirates game and them actually ride it!

Disneyquest I think is what it is called, another thing we ran out of time to do.

I so want to design my own roller coaster! And then you get in a VR pod and actually ride it...it's all controlled by the computer...

I will NOT miss it next time I go!

Disney World also has some fantastic professional golf courses... they can do group lesson or maybe a 9-hole round.

When I was little, my dad rented one of the fishing boats and we went out on the lake around the Grand Floridian-Contemporary- Wilderness Lodge area. It was a great time and I actually caught a fish! The guide was definitely a help and had some pretty good fishing stories. That might also be an idea.

If you are looking for ideas for a nerdy group of engineers (that will actually be my fiance and his groommates for their "boys day"), the idea I came up with is visiting the Kennedy Space Center followed by dinner with a Disney Imagineer. I can't find specific info on it on the official Disney website, but it might be worth looking into because it sounds really awesome and a great opportunity for the boys to get into their element.

Hope this helps!
