Gustav AND Hanna!!!! Give me a break!!! My TR for Sept. 1st-Sept. 10th!!

Really enjoying your report - feel bad you had to all be on vacation wondering about what was going on at home..at least you were in the happiest place on earth :goodvibes . Also, felt so bad for you about the t-shirts - the Enchanted one was so nice. I HAVE to ask where your sister got her Peter Pan shirt from!! Did you make it? and if so, do you take orders?? :)

Looking forward to your next update! :tinker:

Hello everyone!!

I'm here for another update. And give you the bad news. Since some of ya'll are in such suspense!!!!

Well, after we went to Wolfgang Puck we headed to my favorite park. Disney's Hollywood Studios. And here we are as we walk in!!!

101_0253.jpg

And I snapped a pic when we entered the new Pixar section of the park. It was so cool with the Toy Story music and the soldier dudes signing autographs.

The Bad News:
It was right before we got to Mr. Potato Head in our 50 minute wait when my Dad got a phone call. It was from our neighbor back home. He was telling us that the keys to the house we had given him (just in cause) ended up in the hands of my extended outlaw family. Yes, I did say outlaw. That means they don't obey the law. Like the one not to steal.

Well, he said that they had come to him after he had helped them set up OUR generator, telling him that they didn't have enough water and food and they needed to get some stuff out of our house. Yeah right. :rolleyes2 So, our neighbor let them in not knowing any better. He set the keys on the counter and my aunt scooped them up and took them. Our neighbor didn't feel comortable enough to ask for them back so he just let it go and called Dad.

When Dad found out he didn't like it too much. Because we had no doubt that they would clean us out that night. So, Dad called his Dad (my grandfather) and asked him to go and get the keys from my aunt. He went over there and told my aunt to give them to him. When my Mom talked to her she sounded upset!
Well, I'm sorry we don't want you to have the keys to everything we know. You'll live.

But it bothered my Dad so much that he decided to fly back. What!!! :scared1: Like leaving us in Florida while you go back to LA? Yep. And I wanted to go with him to help him out. He told me no. He said I needed to help out here in Florida. I didn't want to but I did. So I called Southwest and got the flight changed. But the New Orleans airport was still closed so he had to fly into Jackson, MS. And he had a good friend pick him up.

So the bad news is that Dad is leaving the state as of the next day. And he's not quite sure what he's going to find when he gets there.

He tells us when he gets home that the "Columbo's" my aunt brought with her (two guys) where smart enough to start picking up branches and stuff. Kudos to them!! :cool1: Well, they decide to burn them. And guess what they use to light them up? Gas. Rationed, stand in line for 6 hours, critically needed for generators gas. No, I'm not kidding. No, I can't believe it either. And it would be hilariously funny if I didn't know them. And they did a couple of other things that can only be defined as disgusting. Sigh. Crazy, crazy people.

So yeah, that was a wonderful adventure. Hah.

Here we are on the Great Movie Ride. We saw the western guy take over the car. I don't know how many times I've been and I've always seen the gangster guy. It was something new.

I'm into the whole barber thing!!

101_0285.jpg

101_0289.jpg

101_0288.jpg

And we found this guy. He was so small and green I think he was friends with Tinker Bell!!! :tink:
101_0291.jpg

And we couldn't leave without riding the Tower of Terror!!!
101_0311.jpg

101_0309.jpg

And the Rockin' Roller Coaster.
101_0317.jpg

101_0316.jpg

So we left the park and headed to the Pepper Market. I forget what resort thats in.
101_0326.jpg

When we finished eating we realized that if Dad was leaving we needed to get the name changed on the rental car. So we head back to Thrifty. Remember that Thrifty is NOT swifty? Well, they still are not. And since we had gotten that older van that tends to veer left we asked if we could change it out. So we went from this van to this one. No, don't read this look down at the pictures.

Up next we go to Animal Kingdom and Dad's leaving.

Hi there!!! Thank you so much for posting!!! :cool1:

I know, leaving the shirts was really a let down. :guilty:

And my sister's shirt we bought at our local Disney store sometime last year. I'm sorry, I wish I could make something like that.

Great update. Pepper Market is in Coronado Springs. I am so sorry about the outlaws and your dad leaving early. Looking forward to more of your trip. :)

So sorry about your dad having to leave early! I completely understand though. I have some relatives I would not want to have the keys to my house either!

Great update! Glad you got to exchange the van!

OMG what kind of family does that!? I'd be po'ed at the neighbor too. Of course I don't give our keys to anyone! The alram system will notify someone if need be.

Does look like you guys had a great day at DHS. I kept putting off R n R coaster and when I went to ride it it was closed uo for the night. :sad2: That's the first thing I'm doing when I go back in December!

Thank you. I couldn't remember what it was. ;) Isn't it a shame when you can't trust your own family? :sad2:

I loved that Toy Story ride!!! That is sad that your Dad had to leave early. :(

Don't put it off any longer. You have to ride it!!!!!

Awww sad that your dad had to leave:sad2:

I know, I cried when I found out he was really going to leave. I'm a bit of a Daddy's girl.

Hi everyone,

Just wanting to let you know I'm going to be very busy the next couple days and probably won't be able to do an update until the weekend.

I'm doing hair and a wedding cake this weekend. But I'll have pics to post!!!!!!

Thanks for reading!!!!! :thumbsup2

Wow....and I was thinking the crazy part of your story was over! Guess not! :sad2:

I am also a daddy's girl and would be very upset if my dad had to leave early from a family trip unexpectedly.

Yeah, I was pretty upset. But it got better, you'll see!!! ;)

Yay you're back! I love suspense filled reports! The picture of you all on the Great Movie Ride in your matching shirts is great! Can't wait to read more.

Maybe we should try the alarm system.
Don't put it of any longer. You have to ride it!

Oh I've ridden it many times. It's one of my favorite rides in all of Disney. I just haven't been on it lately and in December I'm going over and over and over! (Since my peeps will be with us and can watch the kids!) I'm so excited. I didn't think I'd get like this since we just went but I am...:yay:

MMMM, cheesecake. My fav!

I can understand your dad wanting to make sure everything was OK. All of you would have been wondering what was going on and not concentrating on having fun! Your lucky to have a good dad and family! (Except the outlaws, everybody has some.;) )

How ya' doin'????

I'll be updating my TR soon. Our meet will be on it!!!!

I'm doing great. I can't believe so much time has passed since I last updated. I feel awful. I've been crazy busy with work and a surprise I'm going to post. So I am working on an update as well.

I'm watching for yours!!!!!! ;) Thanks for posting!!!!:lmao:

Hello everyone,

Sorry I've been gone for so long. I've been crazy busy with work and exams and such.

Let's see, in the TR we were finishing up the day before my Dad has to leave to go and make sure our outlaw in-laws haven't cleaned out our house. And we are goin to AK because my DDad loves the A Bug's Life show. We got to the park early and they had cast members showing the kids "dangerous" bugs.
Here's my DBro looking at one of the dangerous bugs.
101_0330.jpg

101_0331.jpg

And as you can obviously see, its our orange shirt day. Can't miss us. And we wore those matching shirts and we still didn't get a Disney Dream. :sad2:

I love walking into AK and the breathing in the fresh air. I don't know why but it feels different than any of the other parks. Maybe because of all the plants and stuff. Here is the site that greats you as you cross the bridge.
101_0332.jpg

Ahhhh, beautiful.

And since its my DDad's favorite show in AK we headed to "It's Tough to be a Bug". I think we were a couple seconds late so we had to wait for the next show. So here we are posing in our bug specs.
101_0333.jpg

Since we had some time and there was barely anyone in there we started looking around. It seems like every time I go in I see something new.
I had to get a picture of this:
101_0334.jpg

And my DBro playing around.
101_0335.jpg

I knew there was a Hidden Mickey somewhere around there, so I started looking arouond the Handicap entrance. Well, a cast member was kind enough to help me out. And here is the little hiding stinker.
101_0338.jpg

And I never noticed the giant ball of dung. Yuck... its gross but I couldn't help taking a pic. :rolleyes1
101_0339.jpg

Oopsy Daisy. I forgot to load up more pics onto photobucket. Be back in a bit!!!!

Enjoy.
