Well, after much arm wrestling DW has agreed to go to Orlando again............seems like the kids wore her down.

It's been a bit like the scene from the Simpsons where the kids want to go to a theme park and Homer sez " No " to Bart & Lisa ...and they say " Can we ..." every 5 seconds 'til he gives in.

Anyway, anyhow it's agreed we'll go ...early November.

Only criteris is that DW INSISTS we spend 1 week in Orlando...and the other on the coast.

We always stay in a villa and I can sort Orlando out no probs.....BUT.... I have no idea of any villa sites, or indeed places to stay on the coast.

Any advice and/or fingers pointing me in the right direction of villa sites would be welcome. Ditto any info on where to go and what there is to do ( the less there is to do the better for DW !! ).

Thanks in Advance

Well I haven't used this service personally, but it seems to get good reviews, and I haven't rented a house at the beach but http://www.vrbo.com has information that would be helpful to you.

Hi Mike

Sorry cant offer you any suggestions for Gulf Coast villas....just wanted to say Whoo hooo cause youre going again;)

Hi Mike,

I've booked a villa in Naples (gulf coast towards the Everlglades) via www.holidayrentals.co.uk. This was the first site I tried and after 2/3 weeks of searching I didnt find any better site. Good prices and wide range. If you only need 2 bedrooms check out property 1760 as thats the one I've booked!

Hope this helps!:)

Thanks for the advice..I'll get hunting!

trashcanman, if only my tribe would go for 2 bedrooms!! We'll need a minimum of 3, preferably 4!!! Amazing for 4 people innit!

Kids insist they won't share ( DS 10 & DD 11 )..and DW keeps slinging me out for snoring ! So much for true love.

Neil,

Aye, it's amazing what two bunches of Oriental lilies and a bottle of cheap champagne results in!

We missed out last year ....... moved house. Tried to discuss other holidays for this year..... but extreme negative vibes from Callum & Emilia! Ideally I want to get out there in time for HHN at Universal ( highlight of last visit ).

About time to get into planning mode methinks.
