Guilty pleasures: Rides you love but are embarassed to admit it!

Just heard that It's A Small World is closed for refurbishment. How could they? It's the thing I make a bee-line for when I get into the Park. I'll never get over the loss of 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, or Mr Toad's Wild Ride either. I adored both of them. And they've closed Alien Encounter too (sobs quietly).

Yet to GET ON Winnie the Pooh - queues last time (September 2000) were horrendous and we kept meaning to get back, but never did.

Where are we heading in November 2004? SPLASH MOUNTAIN!! and Pirates, TTA, Cinderella's Carousel, Dumbo, Aladdin's Carpets. That'll take care of the first hour of Day 1 - now all I've got to figure out is the rest of Day 1 and what we're going to do for the next 13 days too!

Also can't wait for the walk down Main Street, an Ice Cream Cookie, lunch at Crystal Palace, afternoon parades and evening fireworks. And a wander through the Downtown Disney area in the evening has to be topped off with a visit to the Candy Cauldron - two weeks of heaven on earth! See you there!!

It is so nice to find other people mover lovers out there...I never admitted my love of this ride before for fear of ridicule. :o

Same for El Rio and Maelstrom!

People movers unite!

I love the Peter Pan ride! It makes me feel like I am the little girl who dreamed she could fly, again!

My name is Lorissa and I love Snow White's Adventure. I have to ride it everytime I go!

I will have to admit that I love People Mover too! I just can't seem to call it TTA.....it will always be People Mover to me!

I could ride POTC and HM a million times a day and I would never get tired of them!

My DH and I could ride Buzz a million times a day too. My DM who is 63 loves it more than we do!:earseek:

I love trying to name all the countries and regions represented in IASM. Did you know there's an Antarctica section?!

I love the Liberty Belle riverboat at MK. That wonderful bass voice doing the narration. The explanation of where the name "Mark Twain" comes from. Makes me want to break out into a chorus of "Old Man River".

Not ashamed to say I like Spaceship Earth; maybe a little ashamed to say how much! How can you beat the Story of Civilization, past, present, and future?

Cranium Command was sheer genius. I think of it as gone forever because we never go at times busy enough for "open seasonally" attractions.

Just waiting in the pre-show room for Muppets3D is funnier than anything at WDW except Comedy Warehouse.

Beauty and the Beast was the best movie Disney ever made, and even if the show doesn't quite measure up, I'm still in tears by the end of it. Can't leave the theatre until they finish playing the song on the PA.

Peter Pan, Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Birds, and small world. These are just a few that I just love to do and have to everytime we go. Oh, also the Country Bears and this being our first Christmas trip, I hear the "show" is just a bit different.

Interesting thread. I too love all of Disney, but no one has mentioned a AK ride/show.

I love It tough to be a bug. But you have to watch out for all those insects. ;)
We love Pocohontas and her Forest Friends.

Also Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse and Ellen's Energy Adventure among the less popular attractions

Okay, Okay...I'll admit it...I love "Living with the Land" at Epcot (the boat ride through the experimental farming area)...I'm a nerd. I also love, love, love the Carousel of Progress..Don't know why, I just think it's great...and I end up singing that song all day.."There's a great big beautiful tomorrow...":p

We also love Living with the Land, and Figment. Forgot those two until we read

i llike the land too actually find it interesting not just a place to rest but cop is " nap time" as is the people mover thing..glad to haer about astro..will put that on my dont' ever bother list

Carousel of Progress is my favorite and I made DH tape it the last time we were there in case they ever close it down!

I love the Winnie the Pooh ride, TTA, and the Liberty Belle Riverboat. Have only been on the Mike Fink Keel Boat once, but I really enjoyed that. Wish it was open more.
I will also admit to liking "Living with the Land". But that's more because I just like floating through there and not seeing dancing dolls. I also like to be able to sit. Not a lot of opportunity for that in EPCOT.

I also loved Food Rocks & Kitchen Kaberet, which didn't seem to be tops on most lists...

I LOVED Food Rocks! I was so sad when we watched it for the very last time..... I mean, really! Who wouldn't love Fud Rapper and the Peach Boys?!?!

Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh. . . chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff. . .

I LOVE it- especially Tigger's bouncy part!

I am such a huge fan of The Great Movie Ride! I know I CAN'T be the only one that cries at the end of that one when they give you just a taste of all of those wonderful movies. Please tell me I'm not the only one... please...

so ThAT's what the words are:)

I get tears in my eyes every time I see the castle for the first time that trip! I have always loved the castle. When I was little and on my first trip we were staying at the Poly and on our last night we were on the boat going across the lagoon and my dad said, "Wave goodbye to the castle," and I just started bawling! My parents must not have been quite ready to go yet because we stayed two more days!;) Obnoxious, I know. I can blame my parents for me being a Disneyaholic!

MK - Forgot to mention in my last post. I love the COP

EPCOT - Really not a ride, but I love to go into the Coke Refreshing area and try the different Coke products. China is my favorite

AK - Also not a ride, but I like to just look at the Tree of Life. It is fun for the family to pick out all the animals on each trip.

MGM - Who wants to be a Millionaire and the Great Movie ride. :chat:

No you're not. That's probably the most intense emotional experience in all of WDW. All of those memories crammed into what -- 3 minutes?
