We will be at WDW 8/8 to 8/15, where can I find a guide to getting the most done in the parks, e.g., which rides to do first, which parks to do on which days, etc.

I'm not looking for a book, but a website that has that info, if there is one. Thanks!

Get the Unofficial Guide to WDW. It has touring plans for all the parks designed to make your wait in lines minimal. Also gives reviews of all the rides so you can decide if there are ones that you want (or need) to skip, and gives tons of other advice, too. I haven't tried the plans yet myself but others love them.

Edited: Ooops! Didn't read your whole post. The Unofficial Guide does have a program that will custom design a touring plan for $12 per plan, but I don't know the web site. Try a Google search.

Tour Guide Mike has a program that I hear is full of tips and secrets.

I have seen it posted on the boards several places. Do a search.

I like TourGuideMike.com and the Unofficial Guide to WDW. Here is the link to the Unofficial Guide touring plans.

touring plans

Here is Mike's
TourGuideMike

Both of these sites will charge you for their custom plans. HTH

Just to clear up the last posters comment...

touringplans.com will charge you by the number of days you need planned- if you want plans for 5 days then you will pay for 5 plans

tourguidemike.com only has a one time subscription fee that you can use from the day you sign on until shortly after you return from your trip

also, these provide very different information...

touringplans.com will have a step by step plan for each day based on information that you provide (priority seatings, mid-day breaks, etc.)

tourguidemike.com gives you all of the information (which park is best on what morning, evening, etc. and which rides have longer waits and when) and then lets you decide what order to tour in based on your wants and needs

I have never used touringplans.com so I hope my information was accurate. I do use tourguidemike.com (TGM) currently. We are planning for 7 for the week of 4th of July, 2005. Yes, I think we're crazy, but that is the only vacation opportunity for next year. I can't reccomend a product that I have not used, but I really love the TGM website...he is always updating the information.

Have a great trip!!!

Edited to add: after re-reading the original post, I think you are looking for information you can use to plan, not just step one, step two type plans. In this case I would definately use TGM. He makes suggestions as to what are the best days, times, etc. (based on experience) and he backs up everything with simple explinations. I like making my own plan, but I love having expert information helping me along the way.

I have heard alot of GREAT things about Tour Guide Mike. We are going at the end of July and I think I might give him a try. Thanks for all the information.

Thanks guys for the information... I may give Tour Guide Mike a try. Since we are going at a hot/busy time of year it would be nice to have a guide to help us. Thanks again.

Just back from a trip last week, and we used tourguidemike.com and the Unofficial Guide. Both provided GREAT information. One thing that was probably THE MOST helpful was Tour Guide Mike's advice on which days are best for which parks. He gives them to you in the order of desirability for the morning and the afternoon. That was EXTREMELY helpful for us!!! We avoided any crowds, based on following his advise. He also explains WHY these are the best times to visit or not. That explanation also helps you fit it into your plan. And having that information alone on a 3-x5- inch card in our waist packs helped us make decisions as we went along. Of course, with two teenagers their moods and desires change and we were able to look and see where NOT to go!!!

Both of the above resources are invaluable, and alonf with the great advise you will get from fellow DISers, you should have no problems!!!

Have a Magical Trip!!!

Which days and times to hit the parks would be WELL worth the cost.

Hi folks,

Just a reminder: the Unofficial Guide's website will recommend the best (and worst) days to visit each Disney theme park, based on your specific trip information. A link to the interactive page with this feature is in my SIG below. And it's free.

Sincerely,

Len Testa

HI.. After reading the posts about Tourguide Mike , I decided to purchase this. I am happy already reading the articles but I can't rreceive his e-mails. Does anyone know how to set-up Microsoft outlook to recieve his e-mails. thanks
Also.. does he send updates or do you have to go to his site to read them.
Valerie

I use both the Unofficial Guide and TourGuide Mike and love them both. They each have their own strengths, IMO. So, since you say you want a website and not a book, then I think TGMike is exactly what you're looking for. There is a discount available somewhere, Mousesavers maybe? I can't remember where.

ValDisney, I PM'd you.
