We are at Riverside and the Wi-Fi in the room is really bad. I can get a connection, but web pages load very slow. Everyone in the room is having slow connections from their phones too. It's also been spotty in the parks with no connectivity at times but not as bad as in the room and around the resort. I need to VPN back into my corporate network but apparently Disney blocks that too. Had no problems at HRH. Has anyone else had similar experiences with the Wi-Fi on Disney property?

i will say that last time at pop it was terrible. not only the internet but our at & t wireless. i had to stand outside to make a call on my iphone. i asked a the front desk and they said they were not aware of any problems like this. hope it is better next time.

There is a phone number you can call for problems with the resort wi-fi. I don't know it off-hand, but it's probably in the booklet of room information. Sometimes they have to re-boot the routers.

My experience has been that it can be slower at some times and run reasonably fast at others. Late afternoon and early evening seemed to be the worst in terms of speed.

I was able to connect through VPN in both 2012 and 2014. I needed to check email and do some limited work in files and was able to do so.

We have gone from calling it WiFi to Iffy because of the inconsistent nature of connections.

When I have to do stuff for work, I'll do it early in the morning -- 5:30 - 6:00. There isn't so much demand at that time and the connection is pretty strong. I also find that the connection in the common areas of the resorts is better than in the rooms. It absolutely delights my daughter since work is less likely to interfere with our fun time. Of course, we do have issues with connectivity in the parks and getting FPs switched around during peak times, so . . .

I've not had any problems in the resorts but the parks tend to be spotty. I agree, that early morning in the common areas is usually your best bet but I have worked from my room at night with no problems.

We had no problems at CSR whatsoever in past years, but it took several days and numerous calls to tech support to get access in Aruba 55 at CBR in June. Even when we got access, it was not always reliable, and very slow.

Last year our room at POR had pitiful wifi, this year our room (200ft) away from the other had great wifi. Just depends where you are in relation to the nearest access point.
