Hi ladies,

I am not getting married in WDW, but we got engaged there, and we are incorporating little Disney touches in our wedding...

I was wondering what kind of guestbook you were planning on using, or actually used... I thought of maybe using a scrapbook, to add some embellishments and pictures, but my fiance is not sold on this idea. I know there are some cute Disney ones out there.

:goodvibes Please give me some ideas!

I like the scrapbook idea! I mean really, what do most people do with the guest book after the wedding? What a nice way to save it. I've seen a black 8x8 black scrapbook that has Mickey's face sort of embossed on the cover? Hard to explain I guess but you could take pictures of you and your DF in various places in Disney and put them on a page and have the guests sign around it. Just an idea. You could always do a white album too to keep it more weddingish (if that's even a word)

I am also planing on a scrapbook type of thing. As of now our colors are red and I saw a great scrapbook over the weekend that was probably either 7 x 7 or 8 x 8 and it was bound in red leather with a cut out in the middle of the cover for a 3 x 3 picture. Before the wedding I am planning on scrapbooking a page per person or couple. I will leave a place for them to write something and I will also leave a place to put a picture (hopefully of them and us at the wedding). I will use one of our wedding pictures (maybe with Mickey and Minnie) on the front cover.

I am not sure what the website is but awhile ago there was a post about a scrapbook where each person signing the book would get a page for their picture and some questions (how did you meet the couple - what good wishes do you have for the couple, etc). I might try to incorporate some questions into my scrapbook idea.

We had an Intimate so I didn't need a whole guest book, but I wanted something like that. Since I am a scrapbooker, I decorated a page with ribbon and embellishments in our wedding colors and just put the page out for everyone to sign. This way I can insert the page in our wedding album - when I ever do it :rolleyes1 - it's only been 17 months

The only problem with some scrapbooks is the pages are only in the book by page protector, so your guests would have to remove the page to sign it and that could possibly damage your embellishments. A strap-bound album, like Creative Memories (CM), is probably your best bet. You can add the page protectors later. They make smaller ones (7x7 I think?). There is a thread on this on the DIS Scrapbooking Boards too :thumbsup2

I am doing practically doing the same thing. I found blank cards and Barnes and Noble with our Intial on the front. I am sending them out to our guests, and telling them to write a wedding wish or their favorite story about DF and/or I. I am going to put it in the scrapbook, and place a picture of them at the wedding above their card. I plan on showing the scrapbook at the wedding for people to read the cards.

And to think, I thought I had an original idea :rotfl:

I like the idea of sending them out earlier - this way they can really put some thought into it. If they sign the book at the wedding they might be rushing. Something for me to think about.

I'm having an intimate and saw this in someone's wedding pics and loved the idea:
They had one one of those custom disney sketches (the ones they can draw for you at the park) with a wedding Mickey & Minnie and had their guests sign that and write a short message. You can then frame it and hang it up at your home after the wedding! :goodvibes You could have Cinderella & Prince Charming, or you fav Dis character. It is only like $30 for the custom drawing (a bit more for color). I guess if you had a large wedding, it might be too small though. (you could do two??)

Hi!

Everyone has really cute ideas!

I think I may do a scrapbook type thing for my intimate wedding - or something like postcards to put together later. I've seen plates and other objects where couples put engagement picture in center and guest sing around them. My dance teacher did this for hers i remember.

For my reception at home I want to buy the guest book that says Happily Ever After... on it and glue Starfish on it too for a mermaid fairytale theme. Combination of the two below

Think that's too cheesy?

I have seen some BEAUTIFUL Guest Book on Disneyweddings.com... Check those out if you are not doing the scrapbook...

Mermaid Bride, that's not chessy at all! I love that guestbook, not too Disney, just enough so that you and your fiance know that's what it represents!

I have been thinking about it, and I think I'll use the suggestion that MazdaUK gave me on the scrapbooking board: Have the guests sign some journaling boxes, and insert them in the PicFolio album. That way, they can write whatever they want and I can add stickers and embellishments to them if I want to. I think I'm getting the best of both worlds! :goodvibes

Here is one from the disney florist

They also have another one that is a hidden mickey quilted pattern. I got the Mickey one but merchandising accidently sent me this one instead-- so before sending it back I took photos for you all. Ill try to see if I can get my guestbook out of the closet and take photos of it.
