Guesses on where April incentives will land?

I don’t think we can determine whether Disney is using ROFR points to book the villas they offer for exchange.
True. But the simplest explanation is that the resort where points were deposited is where rooms are offered to II. If I deposit 200 SSR points for a trade, they make 200 points worth of SSR rooms available to others via II.

Specific to my prior post, the point I was making was that DVC can't simply conjure up availability. If all of the BLT studios are booked by members for through December 2022, it doesn't matter how many BLT points they ROFR in June '22 because the rooms are already gone. Those points certainly have value further down the road. But it's not immediate and/or not for the resorts that cash guests would most be looking for.

True, and I agree.

However, as a separate question that I have, it’s been well known on TUG that over the years when DVC exchanged in RCI, deposits were overwhelmingly SSR and OKW 1BR. It’s unlikely that OKW and SSR owners were so much more likely to deposit points to RCI than owners of other resorts, so my guess is that Disney uses their own points to book villas that are less popular with owners. Some sightings in II last year - BWV, for instance - made me start wondering whether they used ROFR points too.

Would love to see this! Have they made an substantial effort here since it closed active sales?
Can’t say for sure. I’ve only really been following dvc for a little over a year and am a somewhat new member. At best I’d say they might offer a deal similar to Poly and have a 200 ish per point after incentives for CCV if you are buying 300 or more points. By the. The resale market may be in the 150s so it won’t make sense for the most part. I can’t say I would not be somewhat tempted.

CCV is such a small resort though. Already rough availability for studios at even 11 months out.

They need to incentivize the Cabins somehow.

CCV was at the top of my list until I saw the availability and inventory. Now it's close to the bottom.
Yea I’m kind of in the opposite situation and I’m a bit shocked at how much room availability there is at CCV for the other rooms at this time for December. I’m trying to plan for a family trip in a few years and we’ll need a few 2BR or a GV and a 2BR. Seems like I will not have to fight and walk those.

Many people reported all Deluxe resorts were sold out over the summer. ROFR activity picked up in January 2022 and ended at the precise same time as when Deluxe resorts started having availability. And then....voila... new incentives on BLT which was one of the highest bought back resorts. I don't believe it was a coincidence but I also can't prove it wasn't.
This is a great theory.
