GUESS WHO'S COMING TO FREE DINNER, or, Feeding Nebo,,,,completed

the ATLAS. he spent 2 hours yesterday studying the Atlas, looking for a more interesting route to orlando.
(at least he knows how to amuse himself:rotfl: )

Hey, perfect timing! Rhonda and I are thinking of driving down ourselves when we go with Judi, Ron, and Brooke in September. Cost about the same as flying, unless we get a really good price! Let me know if he discovers a hidden road that cuts a few hours (or 18) off the drive!

Ok, my bad. The material was all sitting there for me, and I had to go for it.

Sorry. No, we aren't mad at each other.

Least not yet.

That was however, a lovely poem by Kay Who knew flying pigs could be so articulate?
Thanks , Kay.

Sorry I couldn't help you with the car, Jaime.
I do understand totally about the dustpan, though.
We don't own a snow shovel anymore either, ever since we bought the townhouse.

And I couldn't tell you how many times I have scraped the windshield of myk car using a credit card.

Jw50, thanks for the update. I knew the Orchard Field part for O'hare, Not the Mc Coy part though.

McDisney: Please put the bag down, and step away.
My luck lately, when you shake it I'll probably dislocate a gill.

If they refill "My Precious" this afternoon, I may get an issue up toight.
I want to share my atlas findings for the drive with Jaime. Or any other midwesterners for ;that matter.

Well, it's time to go moan and whine some more back at my lathe. Thanks for reading and posting everybody.

Nebo, I'm still so surprised you didn't find Devine. That really nice, hidden away smokers area between Asia & Africa, about 30 yrds before you get to the drums (going from Asia).. I ALWAYS see her on that main path.. RIGHT by your beloved smokers spot. How have you NOT seen her? Oh well next time, just hang out at that smokers spot all day.. you WILL see her

I'm really sorry guys, but I can't sit here, tonight. Just when I thought I was really getting better, I had to work on the compressor at work, it was kinda like football, the harder you try to take it easy, the more likely something is going to go wrong.

Just want to mention one thing.
Catherine's mama? No, still havent' seen Devine. Not blessed like Tiggerwannabe and Lexluthor that posted the pictures of her. But I know I'm still in good company.
Utah Mama hasn't seen her yet either. I figured by now, in her trip report, she not only knows her on a first name basis, but probably call each other up on the cell phone and say, " Let's do mulch". However, there is another problem I have just found out. And Honest!, I didn't know this. Remember when Diane said I was reading the Unofficial Guide? Again? Well, she was half right. It's the NEW Unofficial Guide. ought, ought, seven.

And in this stinkin, lousy book, it mentions you will see Stutues come to life in the Italy Pavillion.

HUH?

I've never seen that. I can't even remember any "Stutues" in the first place.

Crap, here we go again.
Ok, gootta run, can't type well on my knees.
Or standing.

Please bear with me.

AWw poor nebo - sending you pixie dustpixiedust: we love your posts but dont want you hurtin

dont feel bad about the whole Devine thing - I never even knew she existed til you introduced her here...i lead a sheltered life:hippie:

feel better soon

Poor, poor Nebo!!!! I've had back problems all my adult life (not nearly as bad as yours, poor thing!!!!) so I feel a little of your pain.

I have seen the statues. SORRY!!!! They are really cool. Painted thick whitish greyish. They stand on pedistals and dont move at all! CREEPY! Then when you stand next to one for a picture, they grab your hat or something. I wonder how they see??? They are amazing! I dont think they're always there, though. Just sometimes. So you could have missed them~ or stood next to one as they gave you bunny ears? Go check all your old vacation pictures!

Feel better Neeb! Can I call you Neeb?

Feel better soon, Steve!!! We need more nebo trip reporting. In fact, I'm already getting a little sad because I don't think even you could drag this trip report out til May. You are going again in May aren't you? Guess you'll just have to plan to go down to WDW 3 times per year to keep us all entertained. Take care!

Nebo

You poor dear, you're hurting again? I think it may seriously be time to consider that c word that you had us all in a tizzy about. It sounds like you need to be readjusted! (tee hee).

Also, I was going to ask if you guys have Annual Passes, 'cause people that go 3 times a year aught to have an AP! ;) (right Lexluther?)

Feel Better Soon!!!!

I've never seen that. I can't even remember any "Stutues" in the first place.

Nope, never seen any "stutues". In Italy or anywhere else for that matter. I've seen the "Living Statues", but they are no longer there (why they (or their oddly spelled counterparts) are in the 2007 Guide, I can't say).

They left in 2005, I believe. Their contract was not renewed. I read that the same fate befell Krystos recently. Only saw a tiny piece of their show a couple years ago.

Oh, just too funny. I almost soiled my depends.
Yep, beautiful, how did I go from Bruce Willis to Mr. Magoo in less than three weeks? And this from a person with an avatar of a pig with wings that can't get off the ground!

I'm a very late arrival/groupie to your trip report and I'm only up to page 16 but I HAD to post now before I lost that quote. You made me do a horrible snort-laugh thing that makes me very glad I'm home alone! I've bookmarked the May report to read later... much as I hate to read things out of order, I'm going to finish with Sept before going farther back in time to May.

Thanks to all of you fabulous trip report writers btw.... I'm thoroughly enjoying them and they're even getting my non-Disney-hubby more enthused about travelling :)

PS... I just finished all the posts, and I wish you a speedy recovery Nebo

Hello Nebo! I found you via Zzub/Kay and just started reading today. Thought I'd wish you back to life and bring back an oldie but a goodie.

Back on about page 3....

"Last time we did this, we just kinda walked through, and they told us which but we needed to be on."

Was it the manhattans or were you have a flashback to the Dr?

Not sure how long it will take me to get to the end. As I told Kay, sometimes my kids get hungry and the laundry is calling, but hey, this is much more entertaining. Thank goodness for long weekends.

6 days and counting :cool1:

OK, so now on post #102

"I heard an out-of -control stroller hit the speed bump behind me.
The empty stroller shot past me, then overturned, bringing down a dozen people.
The baby lodged in the branches of a tree on the left.
Another man in a wheelchair flew past me, his hands on fire from trying to grab the wheels and slow it down.
We hit the bottom, and kept up the pace till we reached the turnstyles.
Out of breath, gasping, sweating profusely, we walked to the bus stop."

But where was Grandma? I can imagine a double flip over the crowd and down the street. Did she beat you to the bus? Grant you another wink?

I read somewhere on these boards, that once upon a time they existed.

I also read that they were no longer there.

So, I believe you can no longer see them, but I heard they were cool!

Wow! I just got on for a second to see if anybody is still talking to me, I just had the best 20 minutes of the week, reading youse guys posts. For some reason, the B---, is doing a bit better, no, not going to say that out loud. Diane is working tonight and tomorrow night, thank god, so, I'll have a bunch of empty time to write tomorrow. Uh oh, that probably didn't come out right, did it?

I mean we can use the money.
????

And yes Melinda, "my precious" was refilled, that is why I'm sitting here now being able to type this .

Uh, "my precious" is hydrocodone, just to avoid any confusion.

Harleygirl: You just probably couldn't notice her, with the baffles removed and the half empty bottle of Jim Beam in your hand, I saw you dancing with Pocahontas and her friends".

You know I'm kidding, right?

Right?

tiggerwannabe I've never seen the statues

Feel better little Nebo

There, now, you see how this is done Tiggerbell?
The subject matter is approached with class, and responded in a dignified manner, with an affirmation of agreement.

Unlike little Jaime who says:

Nope, never seen any "stutues". In Italy or anywhere else for that matter. I've seen the "Living Statues", but they are no longer there (why they (or their oddly spelled counterparts) are in the 2007 Guide, I can't say).

See what happens? You show a little weakness, and they are right for the throat. Actually, I for once or twice, even reread that post I posted, and something didn't seem right, just couldn't put my finger on it.
At least I had Jaime to "rat me out."
Boy, I wish I could find the post from the first trippy, when you said, "Screw the spelling, Diane, we just want the story!" And to think I was willing to send Diane over there to shovel out your car.

See what I mean when I say sometimes the material is there, and you just have to go for it?

I will get to the driving route, soon, though.

Melinda, actually, this report is going to go fast now, I think. No, not goiong to drag this out till May. Besides, I'm willing to bet that Jaime is about ready to start her Pre- trip report, pre trip report.

Mumbler: What was it you said? I couldn't hear you.
Oh. No, we have never gotten annual passes, cuz only twice have we gone twice in a year. Never 3 times. And even then, the second time was always a " Oh my God, we have to book this" trip.
Blame the free dining for that.

Utahmama, boy, just when you think you have another thing in common with the jocks, they turn on you and remind you that you are in R.O. T. C.
I guess the book isn't totally up to dayte. From what I'm hearing now, this went the way of Horizons. Maybe I shouldn't put much stock in this new ride they say is opening soon, Splash Mountain.

Funny thing was though Tiggerbell, it did mention Krystos I believe, and said they are probably cancelled. Is that the band that played right outside of Innoventions? I think we saw them.

Marion: I'm sad. Nothing less than the milk coming out your nose with a surprise laugh is exceptable. And don't thank me. Most of these deranged women posting on this thread are the greatest trip reporters on the Dis. I learned from them.

Suzflee: Six days and counting? Counting to what? Your H and R Block appointment? Shoveling out Jaime's car? C'mon, give.
Glad you decided to join us. well, at least for five more days, anyway.:headache: And actually, I'm sorry to say, we never saw granny again after the last post.

Bee.
Bee I read somewhere on these boards, that once upon a time they existed.

I also read that they were no longer there.

So, I believe you can no longer see them, but I heard they were cool!

Alright. I think you must be talking about the stAtues.
:teacher:

But you also might have overheard me talking to a friend of mine about my back and how I can't bend over.

I was talking about my feet!

Thanks again guys, You da Men:yay:

First, I address the second part of your statement (I, too, have not learned the "multi-quote thingie" without having to type the word "quote" a lot!): :happytv:

Secondly, for the first part of the statement, (still with me there, Vicaboy?) I suppose I should have known "stutues" was a Nebo-ism, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt and decided the spelling error was on the part of the Unofficial Guide. So there. :cool2:

And Krystos was a bunch of people in alien costumes doing weird acrobatics (at least, I hope they were people in costumes...). The band, that plays the drums, well, cans, is Jamminators. And I believe they are still there.

Let's see, what else??? Glad the B*** is feeling better.

Yes, the pre-pre-trip report is started, but it's still too soon to post. I know you, Kay, bunnysmom, and a couple others will be so relieved when I have my own thread to ramble on. I really miss it.

My foot is coming along. I have a little bicycle wheel you sit in front of the tv and pedal... I have foot races with the hamster whenever he's on his wheel. Makes my ankle swell, but I have only 71 days to get the foot in shape for the trip. And, I don't care what he tells you, I always win. I'm always done and he's still running and running... I'm faster, I think.

HI Nebo, still around reading faithfully!

I would would post if i had anything funny to say. I am counting on my twin sis Kay to do it for me!

I'm so excited you are feeling better, and maybe we'll have more posts later this weekend. I'm a nurse, and think of you when I need to waste narcotics and wish there was a way I could send them to you through the computer so you could write more. Hope things stay on the upswing. Looking forward to more laughs.

Now, about the show. We had done our research, and all signs said it was better than the leua. luau. lieua. Crap, none of these look right.
Lewow.
There.

BWAAAHAAAAAHAAAAAHAAAAAAA!:rotfl2:
