Hi
We got back yesterday evening after 6 days away. Thanks to all who have posted on this forum as I went armed with loads of tips and info (including my shareholders card!!!)

We stayed off site at a campsite called Le Chene Gris. It took 25 mins from static caravan to getting out of the car at DLP. Would recommend this site as a cheap way to do DLP - our van was clean and had heating and gave us the option of cooking a couple of nights to keep the costs down. There is a Netto store with cheap petrol next to it on the way to Disney.

We bought annual passes using the family discount and shareholders discount.

HIGHS - Brilliant rides - best were Crush's Coaster (queued for 85 mins and then it broke down for 20 mins but did get going again thank goodness!!!) and kids loved the new Toy Story area.
We also loved Salon Mickey (could hardly drag hubbie out) and the shows and parades fantastic.
Honey I shrunk the audience is no more. Instead its a 3D film show starring Michael Jackson as Captain EO which pleased my 11 yr old son as he is a big fan!

LOWS - long queues!!! Also we ate at the Plaza Gardens and were disappointed with the choice and the long queues to get to the food counters! Ate at the Cheyenne too and thought this had more choice, no queues and was cheaper! (you can also forgo a drink as they have jugs and water which you can fill yourself making it a cheaper option).
Lots of people smoking around the parks even right next to us when queueing to see a character which I didn't like much.

Only drawback is with annual passes we are just going to have to go again to
make proper use of them so have booked an Ibis hotel for 4 nights just before Christmas!!!

We drove to DLP and took the car on the Eurotunnel which was really easy and straightforward and also cheap as we used Clubcard vouchers to pay. The drive was really easy and we managed it without getting lost at all! There didn't seem to be much of a problem with getting petrol most garages seemed to have plenty.

Welcome back!! :wave2:

How inconvenient that you have to go again!!! ;)

Welcome Back, thanks for your update really informative and helpful.

What AP's did you get and how much did they cost after discount (we are considering doing the same)

We got the Dream Annual Passes as the others had blackout dates for the half term week we needed. As we bought 5 we had an automatic discount of 20% then got an extra 15% with our shareholders card. Altogether we paid 675 euros for the 5 passes. We then saved 15 euros each day on parking which would have cost 75 euros (will be more when we return at Christmas). We also used the passes for 20% off in the shops. As we had the shareholders card we got 15% off in the restaurants (annual pass gives 10%). We also used the free bag storage perk and left our lunch etc for the morning at Guest Services. You also get free pushchair rental with the passes and extra magic hours too.

They lifted the restriction dates for halfterm for some reason (apart from the 31st). We nearly didn't go into the park on the Wednesday because of this but decided we would and buy day tickets only to be told we could still use the passes! When we got home we found they had sent us an email informing us but it was dated the Wednesday anyway!!!!!
Not sure why they did it though!

I was just about to say that I didn't receive an email but I didn't have my passes until this week - duh!
They could have pointed it out to us when we went to buy ours! Still too late to get upset now!!!!

sounds good Beth, you do great some great perks with the dream pass plus EMH.

We did exactly the same as you with the offsite and buying dream passes :-) ! We pretty much lived in Salon Mickey last week...maybe we crossed paths! It was our only salvation from the humongous crowds!!
