Guess what we were the first cruise to see the other day

Attending the feedback session with the entire production/creative team was also super awesome. They are making some great changes for future cruises. :)

Never attended that before. Is this something they do every cruise?

Pretty cool - I guess that your cruise got to give feedback since it was the debut to the "public". Tell us what your favorite part was, how long was the event, etc. Details, please!

It is new this year for the Alaskan and Nordic itineraries. They are working out the bugs on the Panama Canal and West Coast Repositioning itineraries.

It was about 45 minutes long on the Goofy pool stage. It was 2 "party planners", Anna, Kristoph, lots of video of Sven and Olaf, and finally Elsa. They made it snow at the end of Let it Go and there was not a dry mom eye on deck. It was awesome. The actors were main stage performers with backup by the entertainment staff. There was a buffet in Beach Blanket following with Frozen ice sculptures and carved watermelons throughout the buffet bar. There was a chocolate buffet the night before also.

Were the buffets listed on the navigators? As far as I recall the buffet was not listed on the navigator for pirate night and I missed it on our first cruise and learned about it on these boards. Not that I am hungry after dinner but I like to know my options

I skipped all the Frozen festivities since I'm the rare bird who never *got* what all the hullabaloo was about with that movie. LOL!

BUT! Word of warning to parents! READ THIS! At dinner everyone was given these little plastic snowflake necklaces that had a switch and glowed a blue LED light. They were cute! Well, we have older teenage boys so much of the cute gets lost on them. My 17 year old immediately switched his on, placed it inside his shirt, and proclaimed "I am Ironman!" You know. With the glowing coming from his center chest. I supposed he remained Ironman all night while hanging with his friends. The next morning when he stepped out of the bathroom after his shower (shirtless) we all stared at his chest. Jaws agape. He had a series of burn marks in an odd pattern right in the center of his chest. "What did you do?! What is THAT?!" He was clueless. My hubby figured it out right away. He picked up a turned-off snowflake necklace and held it up to the burn marks. The pattern was a perfect match. Not kidding. Hubby said he had heard that LED was the closest artificial light to what sunlight is. I asked my son did it feel warm when he was wearing it the night before. Not really. Yet there it was, the perfect imprint emblazoned on his skin. Mind you, my son is also super fair-skinned. His whole life it takes nothing for him to burn in the sun. He gets random rashes and other skin irritations. Over the next day or 2 the red burn marks deepened further almost to purple. Very bright red.

We did go by Guest Services to show them so they might add a warning for parents with little ones. Don't place those LED necklaces against your skin. I just don't want to see little ones with such tender young skin get these burns. My son did say in the days that followed the area feels like a sunburn spot. We made sure to let GS know we were not mad. Not looking for anything free. Not fussing. Just FYI stuff since all the offerings are new. This is how they find out what's what.

My boys both said they saw the Frozen show several times because it was rehearsed and practiced a lot during the wee hours before it was officially performed on Cabo night. They said it was cute but they also said it in a blasé, in-passing way. Like I'd ask what all they did overnight, where they went, etc. They'd rattle off a list including seeing the performances. Like I said, the cute and/or Frozen is all lost on them. They're more interested in movies, friends, dancing, hanging out, blah blah blah.

I didn't see them listed but I knew about them. Our servers told us numerous times when & where they were. The Pirate buffet went off after the fireworks. I knew that one. Been to one before. The chocolate buffet they had to tell me about. Didn't know about it. It was at 11:00 in Tritons on the night of the Officer's Ball, I think. Hopefully someone else can confirm. I didn't go to it because I forgot. We went to the adult show offerings instead. Not a huge loss for me since I was watching my eating during the cruise and I'm not that wild about the desserts onboard in general. I would've gone just to see it and take pics. LOL!

The Frozen activities are being put in place specifically for the Alaskan/Nordiccruises so you will definitely see it.

There was also a special "frozen" themed menu in the dining room that night which included a fair amount of liver in various forms along with a number of other unsavory to many items. I'm sure some loved it, but there was an awful lot of full plates bring cleared away. Our server Commented that there were many complaints. The wild boar I tried wasn't too my liking for sure!

The chocolate buffet was in the Navigator, but Pirate Night and Frozen were not. Our servers told us about all three. I loved my dinner - I had the Jarlsberg tart, the field greens salad, and the striploin. For dessert I had Olaf's white chocolate floro dome, which was both adorable and tasty. I don't remember liver in anything except the pate dip that was brought out with the bread, and perhaps in the meat and cheese appetizer. I thought the menu was pretty cool!

Here is a link to the Frozen menu.... http://disneycruiselineblog.com/201...-elsa-and-friends-dinner-dessert-menu-debuts/

The only liver I see is in the dip that comes with the bread service.
