I skipped all the Frozen festivities since I'm the rare bird who never *got* what all the hullabaloo was about with that movie. LOL!
BUT! Word of warning to parents! READ THIS! At dinner everyone was given these little plastic snowflake necklaces that had a switch and glowed a blue LED light. They were cute! Well, we have older teenage boys so much of the cute gets lost on them. My 17 year old immediately switched his on, placed it inside his shirt, and proclaimed "I am Ironman!" You know. With the glowing coming from his center chest. I supposed he remained Ironman all night while hanging with his friends. The next morning when he stepped out of the bathroom after his shower (shirtless) we all stared at his chest. Jaws agape. He had a series of burn marks in an odd pattern right in the center of his chest. "What did you do?! What is THAT?!" He was clueless. My hubby figured it out right away. He picked up a turned-off snowflake necklace and held it up to the burn marks. The pattern was a perfect match. Not kidding. Hubby said he had heard that LED was the closest artificial light to what sunlight is. I asked my son did it feel warm when he was wearing it the night before. Not really. Yet there it was, the perfect imprint emblazoned on his skin. Mind you, my son is also super fair-skinned. His whole life it takes nothing for him to burn in the sun. He gets random rashes and other skin irritations. Over the next day or 2 the red burn marks deepened further almost to purple. Very bright red.
We did go by Guest Services to show them so they might add a warning for parents with little ones. Don't place those LED necklaces against your skin. I just don't want to see little ones with such tender young skin get these burns. My son did say in the days that followed the area feels like a sunburn spot. We made sure to let GS know we were not mad. Not looking for anything free. Not fussing. Just FYI stuff since all the offerings are new. This is how they find out what's what.
My boys both said they saw the Frozen show several times because it was rehearsed and practiced a lot during the wee hours before it was officially performed on Cabo night. They said it was cute but they also said it in a blasé, in-passing way. Like I'd ask what all they did overnight, where they went, etc. They'd rattle off a list including seeing the performances. Like I said, the cute and/or Frozen is all lost on them. They're more interested in movies, friends, dancing, hanging out, blah blah blah.
