I would go with changing the 11-month Home resort advantage to ONE month - SO many new members complaining about limited availiability...........

Hmm... Maybe to increase our DVC customers health and well being if you stay at a resort on points we now offer jogging trails to the park instead of bus service..

That a current perk at the BW. The boats are so slow and then they stop at 2 more docks before the 5 mph ride to DS its faster to walk, Especially if you are at the other end of the BW near the tennis courts.

As long as we're speculating, I would say a similar point chart modification next year. Assuming the point chart reallocation is to redress occupancy/demand discrepancies, I think we may need to assume that DVC is in the middle of a process rather than a one-time fix.

My understanding is that the POS only allows for up to a 20% point change per use day. What if that point change reflected in the new charts does not go as far as DVC's usage data suggests to redress occupancy/demand discrepancies? If that is the case, I would expect a further point chart reallocation annually until the points per night changes drive occupancy/demand towards better projected overall occupancy throughout the year.

And the slow boats? That's DVC taking care of us - walking is good exercise. Lots of requests for that, too, I'm sure.

Since the points structure "enhancements" are intended to help the DVC members.... how about giving us, let's say, up to three point transfers per year to help us trade points and actually be able to reasonably work this out between members.

Is that too much to ask?

Even if we did "request" it, Disney apparently cannot consider the suggestions of it's guests when making a decision.

To proved an easier transition back to the real world, we've changed the checkout times to 5 AM. Check-in times will still be at 7PM. And if you're in town on business, be sure to inquire about our new '4 hour naps'.

For this to happen DVC would have to alter their idea of "enhancements"

It's a great idea Rob, with you 100% on this and hope they'll allow more transfer options per year but I suspect they will not hoping that many members will just purchase an add-on. (fwiw we will send off a letter)

With these new points charts it seems many of us find ourselves between a rock and a hard place ; certainly not in a happy place

Due to member requests, DVC will change it so that you get reassigned to the resort and location that they choose, or you will only be given the choices of 1) on Disney property 2) Hilton Head or 3) Vero Beach.

Better yet, how about a choice of 1) Florida or 2) South Carolina.

Expect SSR to be fully booked every night so that the resorts attached to a theme park can be sold to CRO.

Booking will start at the 7 month window since home resort advantage will be moot.

DVC will now become AI, Dining Plan required for everyone and ADR's will not be allowed. This should save wear and tear on the kitchen save us all money.

- Service from AKV To/From all parks will be via Yak
- Giant slingshot service from VWL beach to MK Tomorrowland, sorry exact drop point varies
- Zip line service from BLT observation deck to Main Street USA
- Skateboard service to Epcot from BCV,BWV
- etc, etc, etc
