Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters after Dark!

My first thought was what is going to be happening in the queue and pre-show during this time. Sounds like a fun limited time experience. I'm glad it's only at night, so guests can still experience the new attraction.

Do we think this is part of the ride? A night only overlay? Or is this an outside thing like the dance party? Sounds fun!

It's part of the ride. A new song version just for night and just for the Halloween season. It should be fun, but I do wonder about the preshow, etc.

This is going to be great! So happy with this addition. Disneyland really is THE place to be for Halloween at the parks. I feel bad for WDW, they don't get any of this.

I haven't been on the ride since it changed over to GOTG, but I would think it would be easy enough to switch over the pre-show also. I would imagine it's almost like a "dvd switch" (but probably a bit more technical than that.) Would the current pre-show tie in to the proposed new evening overlay do you think?

The preshow (for the regular ride) does have an animatronic character though and relies more on him than the screen. I guess they could use the video screen instead though. I saw on DSNY newscast that the queue area will be changed with some of the prop cases being "opened" as the monsters (and the rest of the collection) have escaped. So I would guess the preshow will be changed. But then it also makes me think they will have to close the ride, or at the very least hold the queue out of the main building while they make a few changes each night for the Halloween show. This is going to make an already popular attraction have an even longer wait time. And now I'm wondering how FP will work with it. I hope it's just normal FP distribution, but then there will be a group of people waiting around until the return times are equal to the Halloween event. We're not going until a few weeks after Halloween kicks off, so we'll at least get to hear other's experiences.
