4. Are you happy with your assignment or do you feel like you got a "leftover?"Not a great cabin but it’s luck of the draw. It’s the first cabin behind the Bridge which means the bridge wing will have a direct view into our balcony. Also it’s connecting. So not a cabin I would personally pick but it will be fine. Could be worse and could be better.

Starting to think Disney hates me. Mid-ship location which some people like. I don’t care about that. Short walk to the soft serve. I love that. Close to activities, which is nice. High floor which some people like. I am a deck 6 girl. Not fond of the deck 10 verandah overhang. Is a “communication stateroom.” Apparently, the bed vibrates when the doorbell rings. Not sure how I feel about that. Now the Disney hates me part. It appears we are directly below the Mickey pool/deck area. I can’t find any reviews for this room but did read a travel agent would NEVER book a client there. Would appreciate any experiences people have in this stateroom area. At any rate, got a small discount on the price and will have lots of easy soft serve. Will have lots of fun!

I'm in a communication stateroom on the Wish next week so can later try updating, but my understanding is that the hearing accessible features are turned on/off with an attendant key inside the stateroom, like the stateroom attendant just wouldn't activate the features if not needed.

Thanks! We did have this type of room at a Marriott Residence Inn once. It was not intrusive; I think just a flashing light when someone rang the doorbell. The bed caught me off guard but that does make sense. Not sure why Disney gave us a specialized room when it looks like there was a large number of rooms available for our sailing.

That feature can be absolutely be turned off. Let your stateroom attendant know, if it is actually activated. It's for guests who are hearing impaired. It may also activate in the case of a fire alarm. In my past life, when I worked for a hotel company, we had bed shakers that housekeeping would put under the mattress if a guest had the need. It was actually pretty cool.
