Grumpy and his wife and possibly the DIS Food Porn Queen are going to Disney

Day 1 looks great. I will make good use of those sliding doors to shower while the girlies sleep. You will have to tell us ALL ABOUT MNSSHP!!! We go on Tues night. What a great surprise for Mark!!! Make sure you take a pic of your AM Dis Meet!

I should have mentioned in Revised Day 1 Plans that the Food Porn Queen, Nicki, will not be joining us. She and Todd are going for a week for her birthday in October and with work and everything it is just too much. But this is okay as we will be in Marco for eight days and while Grumpy sleeps in, I will drive to Starbucks and meet Nicki for a cup of coffee before she starts her work day and we're doing dinner twice and she and I have our "girls" day to plan.

Okay, so Day 2 will be Sunday, September 19. I will once again be up at 6:00, I'm sure. I will shower and get ready and then wake up Grumpy. While he is showering, etc., I will walk over to the PM and get him his cup of coffee and my cappucino. I will probably stop along the way to take some pictures and look for "Ally" in the lake.

I'll then head back to the room and we will get in the car and drive over to the AKL for our 7:30 a.m. ADR at Boma's. I can't wait to get back here. We went for the first time last year and it was absolutely wonderful:

This juice is reason enough to go

After breakfast, we will hop in the car and head here:

As mentioned earlier in this PTR, Grumpy won't be able to do Expedition Everest or Dinosaur due to his recent surgery. Therefore, I've decided to do Dinosaur on my own (I love this ride); I'll skip Everest as it is not my favorite (the older I get, the harder it is on my head with roller coasters).

We will certainly do Kilimanjari Safari and see some of these guys:

And we will do Pangari Exploration Trail, Maharajah Jungle Trek, It's Tough to be a Bug. I also want to try to do the Fesitval of the Lion King as we've never seen it (or any of the shows at the AK). I also want to look for Ms. Devine.

We will head back to the CSR around 1:00 for an afternoon break/swim and ANOTHER mini DIS meet with those who couldn't make it on Saturday. And we will also be hanging with Mary (MaryAZ) and Cayley and Avery at the pool. We will have lunch at Siesta's at the pool after our DIS meet.

After our DIS meet and lunch, it will be time to shower and meet another DIS member, OhioDisneyLover (Sophia) and her husband, Joe at the Laguna Bar at 5:45 for a drink prior to their 6:30 reservation at Maya Grill and before we head back to the MK for EMH's.

I love being at the MK at night because everything is so pretty all lit up.

I want to be sure to do Splash Mountain, Aladdin, Pirates, Mickey's Philharmagic, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder (again, I'll do this one by myself). We'll be back on Tuesday so we can hit the other rides that day if we can't get them all in

Also, want to be sure we see Wishes this night (unfortunately, the Main Street Electrical Parade will not be parading on the two nights we are there (but then we have the special Halloween parade on Saturday night which I'm really excited about).

So...what do you think of Day 2?

Hi, Kathy! :goodvibes

Hi, Tina. Hope you guys are having a blast at your rented house.

Day 1 looks great. I will make good use of those sliding doors to shower while the girlies sleep. You will have to tell us ALL ABOUT MNSSHP!!! We go on Tues night. What a great surprise for Mark!!! Make sure you take a pic of your AM Dis Meet!

Thanks, Mary. I will be sure to get a picture. I'm going to ask someone to take a picture as they pass by of all of the DIS meets that we have going on in two short days. :)

Day 2 sounds awesome!

Starting out with Booooooooooooooooooooooma. Ah, love you Boma breakfast, love you!!!

I'm sure you will enjoy FOTLK! It's a vibrant show and a lot of fun!!!

And another couple DIS meets!!! Wow!! :yay:

. I also want to try to do the Fesitval of the Lion King as we've never seen it (or any of the shows at the AK). I also want to look for Ms. Devine.

There is no "try", you have to watch the Festival of the Lion King. I am not exaggerating when I tell you it is a sight to see. I just saw it yesterday and it was even better than I remembered it to be back in January 09.

By the way, how are the two of you feeling? You have to forgive me for not being up on this, but I just got home a few hours ago from our week at the WL, and yes it did include an ADR at the WCC. :rotfl:

I think Day 2 looks great :) Avery or Cayley will be happy to ride BTMR with you! It is their favorite ride!! They have also not been on Splash Mtn. And we need to see WIshes since we were rained out on our last night. We did see it one other night but were blocked by trees. Ack.

I have a friend whose mantra has always been, "No sleeping at Disney"! I agree and cannot ever "sleep in". Always up bright and early and ready to begin a Disney Day. Gee, sure wish I was looking forward to one of those....but maybe when the surgery is history, then a trip will be back in the works. :thumbsup2

LOVE your first day, Kathy! :yay:

Christine I was getting worried you haven't been around much!!!

Kathy I LOVE:love:Boma for breakfast and Yes the juice is worth the trip!!!!:thumbsup2
When in October will Nicki be there !!! I love her Food reviews !!!

Now, you won't eat Tonga Toast because of the bananas, but you'll eat frozen bananas?
Somehow the texture really changes when they are frozen. Once they start to melt and get mushy again, all bets are off.

Exactly!!! The snoozers are the losers on short lines, cooler temps, and a jump start on snacking. :lmao:

Your revised days sound like a lot of fun. Now, how many more times are you gonna change them?!?:rotfl2: I am envious that you've seen the alligators at CSR. We looked and looked and couldn't see them. :sad2: How neat that you are going to meet many of your DIS friends in person. I'm sure this will be a trip to remember. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Definitely on the lines... If someone asked me the single biggest secret about handling crowds at Disney, it has to be GET THERE FOR ROPE DROP!! And how many people don't? Crazy. :confused3

Day 2 sounds fantastic and you get to meet the lovely Sophia and Joe too :goodvibes

I've been gone for a few days so I had a lot to catch up on! Your revised plans look great, lots of DISmeets in there! I agree with a PP that said you HAVE to watch FOTLK, don't try - do it, you won't be sorry :thumbsup2

Boma has become my favorite breakfast (outside of Crystal Palace--and that is for the puffed french toast and Pooh Bear).

Okay...I PROMISE I will go see Lion King. Do you have to get in line a long time before it starts?

We are feeling reat. Mark has no pain at all; I still have a slight lingering cough but nothing I can't deal with. Ribs are still around 75%.

I hope you had a great week at the WL. I'll just keep quiet on the WCC. Seriously, I hope you had a terrific vacation.

YES! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: I have partners to ride BTMR with. And I'll be happy to take one while you take the other on Splash Mountain -- they will LOVE it! I'm so excited that I don't have to ride BTMR all alone. :yay::yay::yay:

Kathy I LOVE:love:Boma for breakfast and Yes the juice is worth the trip!!!!:thumbsup2

Hi, Rosie. I wish I could bottle that juice and bring it home with me. Nicki is tentatively hoping to go October 22 - October 31. I've already had a sneak peek at her line up of restaurants. And I'm sure she and I will discuss it fully when we are together in six weeks. She does GREAT reviews.

Somehow the texture really changes when they are frozen. Once they start to melt and get mushy again, all bets are off.

See, don't even like them when they are frozen because I can still smell them.

Yep, you snooze you lose. By the time the "sleeper" is getting to the park, I've probably been on Soarin' at least once if not twice, or Dumbo three times, etc. :rotfl:

Your revised days sound like a lot of fun. Now, how many more times are you gonna change them?!?:rotfl2: I am envious that you've seen the alligators at CSR. When people start giving me ideas of what I should do? :rotfl: Seriously, I hope I'm done now as I'm tired of changing. I'm sorry you didn't seen "Glen" (that was Ally's relative) when you were there. :sad2:

:thumbsup2 Definitely on the lines... If someone asked me the single biggest secret about handling crowds at Disney, it has to be GET THERE FOR ROPE DROP!! And how many people don't? Crazy. :confused3

Absolutely. It is amazing what we get done from rope drop until 10:30 or 11:00. It is my favorite time of the day.

Day 2 sounds fantastic and you get to meet the lovely Sophia and Joe too :goodvibes

I can't wait to meet Sophia and Joe.

I've been gone for a few days so I had a lot to catch up on! Your revised plans look great, lots of DISmeets in there! I agree with a PP that said you HAVE to watch FOTLK, don't try - do it, you won't be sorry :thumbsup2

I tried to make one BIG DIS meet and it wasn't working. So this works out well for those who want to come and us and we don't have to cut into our touring plan as we'll already be at the pool those two days.

FOTLK made me cry! It is so moving. You HAVE to see it no if ands or buts about it!

Okay...no ifs, ands or buts--we are going to FOTLK.

I think Day 2 looks fabulous. Lots of park time, lots of Dismeets, and just the right amount of downtime. Great day!

I'm glad to hear Mark is pain free and your on the road to recovery as well. :thumbsup2

As for the wait for Lion King, there is not a long wait, but I would get there about 15-20 minutes early so you can sit down in the air conditioner and relax. Since you have made the promise to see Lion King, I promise you that you will not be dissapointed to see it. :goodvibes

We did have a great time at the WL. As you know I love this place. However I will admit my most recent visit to the WCC was good but not as good as it had been in the past. The pulled pork in the platter was a bit on the fatty side, and so was the second serving I asked them to bring out. The service was good and so was the rest of the platter. So there you have it, a WCC fan who had to eat humble pie this time to a fellow DIS'er who is far from a WCC fan. :rotfl:

P.S. I still like WCC though. ;)

Kathy, I agree you must see The Festival of the Lion King - the first time my friend had to kind of drag me in, but what a wonderful surprise. You will LOVE it!

There can be a long line, but get there early so you are at the front, then when the doors open you get go right in and wait in AC, as goofy4prez mentioned.

So good to hear you and Mark are feeling better. Please remind me - sorry my mind's been kinda full lately;) - when is the angioplasty scheduled?

Morning All !!! I have to agree with all the FOTLK talk it is the most amazing and colorful show at Disney!!It is definately a MUST DO!!!

Christine I was getting worried you haven't been around much!!!

I'm sorry I've not been around much lately, Rosie. Been trying to get the latest medical news sorted out. Will get over to your PTR soon! Don't want to miss any of the fun.:thumbsup2
