Good morning everyone,

I just wanted to post a friendly reminder to everyon that profanity is against DIS posting guidelines as outlined below. Please note that this includes bypassing the world filter using * and other characters.

2. NO PROFANITY: Profanity has no place on these boards. The boards are equipped with censoring software and will not permit messages containing inappropriate language to be posted. Profanity includes attempts to bypass the built in filter that these boards contain to avoid such words. Anyone found trying to bypass the filter will have their posting privileges revoked. Further, profanity includes suggestive or inappropriate photos. This is a family site, and other sites exist that contain more lenient guidelines regarding such matters.

You can find the DIS posting guidlines by clicking here.

If you have any questions about the DIS posting guidelines, please do not hesitate to contact myself or any of the other moderators of webmasters on the DIS.

Thanks.

Gee, Karen. And after I gave you a starring roll in Part 8? Just kidding. :teeth: We'll keep it clean in here. :thumbsup2

:rotfl:

Good luck on your Praxis II, whatever that is!!!

Pixie dust for you: pixiedust:

I love delswife reports, but I think that's her blog name and they may appear here under a different name

Or I could be hopelessly confused :confused3

Been yo-yoing between Vettechick/Happyhaunt reports and definately need more tissues :lmao:
Cant wait for next one

WOW! I have officially spent 15 hours (off and on of course) reading this entire thread! Vettechick you are amazingly talented at trip reports :thumbsup2 . DF and I also enjoy nothing more than circling the world showcase and getting toasted. God forbid if it's an extra magic hour evening, we would usually be crawling our way back over the the Yacht Club drunk off of Stella and Lowenbrau (not to mention belinis, moraccan daquiris, margueritas and sake yumm). Thank you for the Disney and booze fix...we just gave up drinking for about 4 months until our wedding  Hopefully it will only make our "grubbin n boozin'" honeymoon all the better! :teeth: Don't keep us waiting too long!!!!

Good Luck on your Praxis, my daughter is going to be entering College in the fall. Her major is Education! She often kids that she can't marry a teacher or they'll die poor!!! I think teachers are the most underpaid , under appreciated (sp?) profession ever. I thoroughly enjoy your trip reports! I have tasted Jaeger and Red Bull separately. I hate them both! I'll have to try the Jaeger Bomb, I'll let you know how it goes. I'm 38 years old and a fairly seasoned drinker, hopefully I won't end up on the floor!!!

Anxiously waiting your next report, did you guys find your keys!!!

o boy o boy... gonna take the grandbrats in september again... but i got's a couple questions...
#1. are there any safe places that do babysitting if you wanted an hour alone with your hubby in orlando/disney or is that just not a good idea?
#2. (see question #1) i want to try a jaeger bomb and the wine that i read about long long ago in one of your reports ally... the really sweet one... hence question #1.... :hyper:
#3. which thread should i head out for to find out from seasoned travellers whether to get off disney site home or one of the fancier disney properties? we just found out that we will be going in september... let's all go that first week after labor day and we can take turns sipping jaeger bombs and watching each other/other's kids/grands....

.... we are going on a cruise in 3 weeks, and I'm worried we'll wish we would have gone back to Disney! We did a cruise for our honeymoon (3 years ago) then the next year we went to Disney and my husband proclaimed it the best vacation ever! Now he's hooked, so we went back last September, but I talked him into trying a cruise since we have a baby on the way!
Congrats on the baby! :woohoo: The cruise sounds blissful! :cloud9: and just the ticket for those tiring days of pregnancy! I'm sure you won't regret it! WDW isn't going anywhere!
If you haven't already read it you should read another great trip report by Timon about their WDW trip and cruise! It was live back in Oct/Nov but is still a great read with great photos. Click here :)

Man, did I miss all the swearing AGAIN?? I always miss the good stuff!

Femail - there are some "kids clubs" at the deluxe resorts - I think you can book places if you're staying at another resort but it cost you. If your grandkids are between 4 and 11 (I think) and toilet trained they could go on the pirate cruise from the Grand Floridian which lasts a couple of hours - check out allears.net for details

Ok, I just had to post because this thread was almost pushed to the second page and I just couldn't let that happen. Yes, I know I'm a hero. :thumbsup2

femail, we used Kid’s Nite Out (800-696-8105 or 407-828-0920), they came right to the room, did a thorough medical history and the girls (3 and 6) loved her. You could also specify a male or femail sitter.

vettechick, your reports are awesome! You inspired me to get mine done, although it pales in comparison. You definitely have me jonesing for a trip in '06! Keep it up.

Hey everyone! I've missed ya. Took my test and didn't do very well...we all thought it was a lot harder than expected. So I may have to take it again, but oh well. Live and learn!

Anyway, I've got some catching up to do, so here it goes!

chrrycolalola, thanks for the 15 hours! Does that mean you are a slow reader or I write too many details? Well, I've written 8 parts and we aren't even through Day 2 yet, so I think I can answer that for you. :teeth: Anyway, thanks for reading, I'll try and keep you vicariously drunk til the wedding. And congrats by the way!

paslea_pooh, thank you for the kind teacher words. Yes, we are underpaid and unappreciated, but boy do we have fun! Or at least I do because it's all still new and exciting to me. Ask me in 20 years when I have 9 more years to retirement.

Hey, femail! Definitely try the Ice Wine. They serve it at Le Cellier or if you go during the F&WF, they serve little tastes at the kiosk. Soooo good, but you have to like sweet wine. I love it! Just call me Allison Cheddar-Lagoon-DisneyTee-SweetWine. :thumbsup2

And to the rest of ya including, but not limiting to, Wonders10, NeverlandClub23, PVA, Katy and IlluminationsUK, thanks for reading and hang on in there. Installment #9 is on deck!

well thank you very much. i am not very sensitive except for my family.
sorry for the distractions which were unintended. i did not want the sneak
attacks to redirect your wonderful stories. i'm not sure what a troll is
but those expressing negative opinions would be on my list.[ i just don't
see any reason why anyone would have the desire to put down others..
i think they know exactly what they're doing]. my take on your stories
were not based on the drinking but the neat ways you guys are sharing
the magic. it is evident that you are much more than "drinking around the
world". though i got to say you have down pat too. while some may labeled
you by your title, underneath i see a couple in love and enjoying the good
life. everything i commented on was to complimented the gusto you guys
are sharing. isn't the #1 objective in life is to find that someone special to
share your adventures with? my partner in life has given me joys beyond
any expectations...including our little princess: . if we ever met, you
may not like me since being ornery is my second nature, but you would adore
my wife..everybody does. it is neat seeing another couple sharing so much
togetherness. and your pics are so cool --i.e. the photo booth , new friends,
and of course your car. [vette]. it gave me the idea for a thread where people would explained their namesakes ? [i.e. zzub]but i decide against it after being chewed out. and i was going to ask others to shared their trips
that were down there at the same time /like on the cruise boards...thinking
it's fun to compare all the things going on. we really enjoyed meeting other
families and sharing experiences. maybe i missed it, but did you attended any
mnsshp parties? it is the little things you said that i thought was impressive.
"hope i'll be a good teacher" reflected insights and dedication. i'll bet you're
great. my younger brother is an award -winning interschool teacher. before
that, he trained all the space shuttle crews. good teachers like yourself are
so ... priceless! in school i dreamed about far away places and because of
their encouragments, i backpacked all of europe. i was at the air force academy and it sure surprised my parents when i called from paris. and
of course, i was there during the octoberfest. speaking of, over the top?
nothing is/ if it is the truth. that's my opinion...and why i really enjoyed
hearing from others reacting to your adventures. actually, reading everyone
trip reports is my favorite. "howdy do"--that's the spider in madergascar. now i hope this put out the "fires" as i am looking forward to more storytelling. oops...and for the gripers, please save your flames. may i suggest threads
like, "have you ever had a shock", "how many trip to the buffet before thinking pig, or "children acting badly" . iam not seeking negative remarks
especially about my family. you wasn't there to see how much it meant to
the little girl. no one was going to tell her that our daughter wasn't ariel.
yet our little girl had no idea what was going on. i will never forget this special moment between 2 little princess: . i was just sharing when i
finally realized what disney means to children. thanks again for being so nice.
