Sorry but need to sound off. Globespan changed our flights by 2 days. As I had booked and paid for my attraction tickets through Virgin in December.Thought I would give them a quick ring to let them know about the date change. 21 mins later the lady at the end of the line said she hadmade the changes but as the prices had gone up I had to pay anothe £400. I refused and told her to take the change of date off she has but I now fear I have no tickets aaaaaargh

Only had 1 ticket thru them (Last Xmas) it had no dates on the voucher, just said valid for 60 days from issue date.
No idea how they get £400:scared1:

£400? :scared1: I misread that to start with and thought you said £40, and wondered if that was because you were going later, and now going January, not December, so the 2010 prices would apply, not 2009. But £400???? Almost sounds like they've added the new tickets, but without deleting/refunding the old one. :confused3

Phone the switchboard and ask to speak to someone about making amendments to your current booking, and you should get someone in the UK who know what they're talking about and doing!

I do not know what attraction tickets you are talking about. But Disney and Universal passes are usually undated and are valid for a period from first activation. Some tickets are restricted to the number of entries and not restricted by date, so they do not expire. Swimming with Dolphins at Discovery Cove are set for a particular date.

I would suggest that you get back onto Virgin in the UK, by calling them on 01293 496917 and insisting that you speak to a UK call centre, India is hopless!

:yay:

Thankyou I will try the uk number. The price cost was an amendment fee and £55 extra per ticket. Thanks again for advice

Depending on when you booked £55 might be correct.

14 day ultimate tickets for 2009 are £237. 2010 tickets are £262. - Thats an increase of £25 per ticket.

Some of our party had those tickets for our trip last month (think they booked about a year ago) and they paid £189.

So over a year thats an increase of £73 per ticket.
