Groups skipping through lines...

Okay, so now you have to share the corn incident. Cause we all have to know. LOL
The line was briefly held up because a woman was eating an ear of corn. The origin of the corn was unknown. She wanted to finish it before she got on the ride - but she didn't want anyone getting on ahead of her, either!

Unless you formed a line at the end of the curb, no one cut you in line. I wouldn't expect anyone to try and keep track of who was at the bus station before them, nor pay any attention to it. As long as there was no pushing or shoving I don't think anyone did anything wrong. None of the moderate or deluxe resorts have lines at their resort bus stops, and I know not everyone likes that system. If you are in a hurry to get to the park you need to stand by the curb to be sure you get on the bus when the bus stop is busy.

To be more clear. We were at the curb. You can not stay by the curb when a bus comes for another destination. No one can board the bus for Epcot, HS or AK with a load of people refusing to move to save a spot for MK. We were told to step back and make room for people to board. Groups of people then came from the front of the resort exiting from Breakfast. They took advantage and pretended they were going to Epcot and then parked themselves in front of the people who were on line for the MK bus. They all had that look that they knew they were pulling a fast one.

In addition POR does have specific areas for resorts. They may have a few together.. but they do break them up. Never had this problem at say POR for example because you can certainly form a line and then stand back for a bus going to another destination without losing your spot. Not the case at Coronado Springs it is one big hodgepodge with just a waiting area. There is absolutely nothing we could have done to secure our spot without refusing to allow people to board the bus for Epcot.

We were not mulling about at the bus stop....were were at the curb. We were on line waiting and was asked to step back to allow people to board the Epcot bus. These people full well knew what they were doing. The CM knew what had happened as well. The CM apologized to everyone and called a replacement bus to come that took much longer than the CM expected. The CM was not going to fight with the line cutters.

Have you been to Coronado Springs? The main loading area at least when I went this past March is nothing remotely like the main loading area of the Moderates, deluxe, or Value Resorts I had been to. Those people did do something wrong. They knew they were cutting the people who were asked to stand back they knew exactly what they were doing. They pretended to be going to Epcot to get ahead and then got on the MK bus that moved in.

Was this at the El Centro stop? I can see it being rather hectic there for sure.

Unless I was right by you when you left the line in your situation (because I would have known what was going on) I would have just assumed you either had a FP or a special pass/permission from the CM and wouldn't have thought anything of it..if you had gone back up through the normal line..the perception of the situation might have been different.

Which is exactly why we did it the way we did. It made life so much easier because we didn't make anyone grumpy and the CMs were fine with it because they also don't like dealing with grumpy people.

Yes, it was the main stop in front near the lobby. There is just no where to really line up. You can stand at the curb but if your bus is not first you have no choice but to move out of the way for people to board the bus. People certainly know that they are cutting though. If there is a mass of people and you just arrived you move to the back of the mass of people not to the front.

And if you say something, "Hello, I was here first."

You will receive a look of genuine shock. They really didn't see you.

We did a trip where I needed to use a wheelchair and I'm so glad it was a one trip thing. It helped make our trip better, but people were so rude about it and I was constantly afraid of being hit in the head with a backpack.

And yet nobody here cars about VIP groups being allowed to bypass the lines.

This is because they pay, but I actually have a big issue with the way they let celebrities skip the lines when I'm pretty sure they don't make them pay for VIP tours because they like the publicity of having the celebrities there.

Good to know, I am booked BC and I believe thats the closest stop. I will be on the lookout for people trying to be sneaky!

It is a beautiful resort and hopefully that was an abnormal occurrence. But definitely stay in line and keep an eye out for those groups pushing in from the lobby exit. If you are not leaving to the parks for rope drop people probably will not behave quite so devious. Have a wonderful time! Pool is gorgeous.

I agree El Centro can be very hectic in the morning.
As I recall the buses start at Casitas (Bus Stop 2), then proceed to Ranchos, Cabanas and then El Centro. Once we figured out the bus route, we walked over to the Casitas stop in the morning.

We will be trying for one MK rope drop, hopefully it'll go well!

That is what I thought would have been the better plan. We were only there for a very short getaway 3 days and only one park day so if we had stayed longer what you are saying would have been really smart to do. We came to that conclusion too late. Good to know if there is a future stay for us. Thank you!

I don't get why it's OK to pay to skip lines but not for people to be creative and jump ahead of you without paying.
