Group Transportion

Hi,
I am looking for some advice. I need to transport 21 people from the Orlando Airport to Fort Wilderness. One of the passengers is in a wheelchair. The group also includes a 10 month old and two- 5 year olds. I am interested in round trip planning. They are all traveling on the same flight. My husband would be able to pick up and transport all their luggage in our truck. Thanks in advance for your help!

There are two options.

You could take two towncar vans, and one towncar if the wheelchair person can transfer out of the wheelchair.

The total cost would be around $384.00 for the three vehicles assuming $5.00 coupon per vehicle and 20% tip. You will have a grocery stop with this option.

The second option is for the wheelchair person and 1 other to use Mears and request the disabled access van. They will probably get a direct ride to the resort as very seldom do you have to share this van. The rest of the party could take two towncar vans and get a grocery stop.

The total cost for this would be $276 for the two vans assuming $5.00 coupon ver vehicle and 20% tip. The cost for the two using Mears would be $29.00 each ($26.00 if you have one of those Disney $3.00 coupons), plus about $5.00 tip each way.

The only problem with using the Mears van for a portion of your group is that on the return trip, Mears will insist on picking them up about 3 1/2 hours before your flight, whereas the towncar service will pick up about 2 1/2 hours before your flight.

Also, by having multiple vehicles, you can save time. One vehicle can do the grocery stop, and the other vehicles can head straight to the resort and get checked in.
