I am planning our second cruise Jan'06. We had so much fun that our friends and family want to come along. Any tips for a group this large? What about dining? Will we all be in the same area? Any advice would be welcome! I have stressed over this for weeks! We have a dd that will be 2yrs11mos can she get into the kidsclub? :grouphug:

well for the 2 and 11/12s year old... it will depend on if she is potty trained and what mood the Club CMs are in... ;) Good luck... much better than paying $6 an hour.... :)

as for what to do with 43 people.... wow... no idea...

have fun,
Paul

When you book don't fortget to check into a group rate...and have everyone link their reservations, that way the chance of getting the same dinning rotation and time are greater. With a group that large you may be better off picking late dinning, since early dinning seems to get full faster....you just may have a better chance of all having the same time/rotation.

I've also heard of people doing a newsletter like thing prior to their cruise...so eveyone is informed on what's going on...it could also be a fun way to keep everyone envolved and in the loop. Since you've been on a cruise before and this next cruise is a ways away...you could do a monthly newsletter with tidbits of what DCL has to offer onboard and at your ports. You could also do a question/answer area in the newsletter where your family and friends can ask questions...and you answer them....with such a large group there has to be alot of the same questions among everyone. Reminders for eveyone along the wait would be nice also...reminders like...time to get you BC or passport inorder...

With a group that big someone (you) might actually get to go for free. I would contact DCL about "group rates". I assume that you will need at least 10 rooms and I believe that is the point were a nice break kicks in.

There was someone here receintly that booked 10 rooms or so and was looking to "sell" them, basically acting as a travel agent.

We are going to be about a group of 50 next Jan ... we are going on the Jan 28th Western. This is our friends from church all going together. I love the newsletter idea...I have to remember that. I am going next week :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: and I am going to talk to the Disney sales on board to see if group rates are the best.

Which Jan Cruise are you on?
