I have everything booked EXCEPT ground transportation from the airport. I took a Mears shuttle 2 years ago, and it was OK. Is it worth the extra $20 for a towncar service? And if so, which one is best? Does anyone use the grocery stop?

Looking for reviews on Mears, Tiffany Towncar, Happy Limo, Yourride, etc. --good or bad

thanks

We are one of the transportation sponsors. There is a $5.00 off coupon that you can print up to bring with you to give to the driver. We also give FREE 30min grocery store stop for going round trips.

We used Tiffany last November and were very pleased with their service. I don't have any first hand experience with the other towncar services. In my opinion, they ARE worth the extra money. We did the grocery stop and it worked out great to have some snacks and drinks in the hotel room.

We used Tiffany last week round trip and had a great experience with the reserved grocery stop as well, I spent 30 minutes and $70 worth of breakfast and snacks for the week. With the coupon, I believe it comes out to $75 round trip so depending on the number in your party, it might turn out cheaper, since Mears charges per person.

It was really nice not to have to worry about sharing our vehicle with anybody else. Our driver was waiting at baggage claim for us (waited an hour for our delayed arrival) and handled our luggage and the car was right there and ready for US and OUR schedule.

From most of the posts I have read on these boards, I have heard many great reviews as the norm for Tiffany and Yourride, which a few minor exceptions for each. Either would probably be a safe bet.

Haven't heard overwhelming positives about Mears but it is a different service.

We found with 3 small children, a towncar service was the perfect thing to keep everybody happy after a long flight and then a magical week.

Hope this helps,
Tammy

A towncar service is DEFINITELY the best option! We use Happy Limo quite frequently (we do a lot of Disney cruises), and they have been very reliable...just booked them again for our upcoming August trip. Our flight is earlier than usual this time, but I trust them to have us by the airport in plenty of time! A towncar is well worth it...I hate being packed in on Mears (or Transtar...that's how long it's been since we've used a shuttle) and stopping at multiple hotels.

Definitely spend the extra $20 and make a grocery stop on the way as well. I've used Tiffany, always had good drivers, their office staff leaves something to be desired. I'm using Yourride on my next trip and Rabbit has een extremely courteous and gave me a very competitive rate for my multi-leg booking.
