I was getting impatient waiting for the AP rates for May to come out so I decided to bid on priceline. Well what a wonderful idea it was. I just booked 5 nights at the Grosvenor May 4th to May 9th for $35.00 per night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so shocked. I really wasn't expecting to get much for 35.00. Mainly I was just playing around. I am so excited. Can anyone tell me anything about this resort???

Hi,

there are mixed reviews from the biddingfortravel website from people who won bids there. It might be helfpul.

I have stayed there and would never again. They were filthy rooms. Glad we were just there 1 night but this was a year ago and maybe it has changed. Ask for a room in the tower instead of the wings. Location is good but it is more like a motel than a hotel.

You got a great rate and hopefully they have refurbished since than.;)

We stayed there last time we went because we got a good rate. We had no complaints. It is not Disney, and you can tell but our room was clean and large enough. We liked that all the rooms had fridges...pretty big ones too. The people were nice enough. Our only problem was the elevator that broke down most of our stay and our tiolet that backed up every night ( but the plunger guy was nice).
Enjoy your $35 a night. The hotel is definately worth it. I would stay there again for that!

Mary from www.mousesavers.com has some reviews on her site. I stayed at the Courtyard at last years' 20.02 rate, and think the DD transportation is fine, and the walk to DD from the Grosvenor is very quick. I think you'll enjoy our stay, especially at that $35 rate!

I stayed at Grosvenor in Dec of 2001. We had a tower room (don't know what you'll be getting) and had no complaints. Our room was clean and large, and the refrigerator was a nice perk. We liked it better than the Hotel Royal Plaza, which Mousesavers ranks higher.

I would advise anyone who had cleanliness issues at any hotel to complain to the front desk. I've done this, even on a Priceline reservation.

Thanks for the info everyone. A coworker just stayed there not long ago and she was in a wing room. She had no complaints. We usually stay on site but this time my mother suprised my 2 dd's and me with an all expense paid trip and I wanted to make it as economical as possible. As long as the room is clean and not crawling with bugs we will be fine. We only needed a place to sleep and shower. When we are at Disney we leave at 7:30 am and get back around 11pm so there is not much time spent in the room. We have stayed in the All Stars several times and we were just fine. We have also stayed at AKL and that was fine. We are not picky, we are just thrilled to be at Disney.

Thanks again everyone for the info
